Lee, I'm surprised that a man with your travel experience hasn't heard of the Manneken Pis in Brussels - the little boy peeing into the fountain. Obviously that shop has a link to Belgium. A pity that the Steak House was closed - my mouth was watering at the thought of that steak buffet.
There's also the lesser-known Jannekin pis in Brussels, which is hidden up an alley, and depicts a girl squatting to relieve herself :-O The restaurant area just off of the Grand' Place is rammed with different cuisines from all around the world and is well-worth a visit.

To be fair, places that only take cash usually have a notice on the door to that effect, the India Gate certainly does! My friends have a bar there and it costs them to have a card machine. Often customers will pop to the ATM to get cash, they don't seem to mind! India Gate's food is lovely too!

For a 'well travelled' man, he certainly does seem to be missing the basics. The Manneken Pis in Brussels is the most famous statue in the city, and also one of the cities most visited attractions. The statue, which depicts a small boy urinating into a fountain of water, has stood here since approximately 1618. The choice of cash and card should be offered , a few times shops have ti close due to " technical issues" so cash could still allow trading, cash should be accepted as should card( if the business covers card fee payments) which yiu don't suffer with cash, if internet goes down cash can still keep the business running. One of the joys for me when I go to different countries is to sample the local cuisine. In Spain I always go for menu del dia to sample the local fare. I understand its not what you like from your videos. But it's not all about Fish and chips for me. Or a British chicken tika massala. I like to respect the local economy and pay in the way of the locals too. It's not all about being 'British'.

The Manneken Pis in Brussels is the most famous statue in the city, and also one of the cities most visited attractions. The statue, which depicts a small boy urinating into a fountain of water, has stood here since approximately 1618.

The choice of cash and card should be offered , a few times shops have ti close due to " technical issues" so cash could still allow trading, cash should be accepted as should card( if the business covers card fee payments) which yiu don't suffer with cash, if internet goes down cash can still keep the business running. You can't say that for the way most things are going with card transactions, both are the best way

One of the joys for me when I go to different countries is to sample the local cuisine. In Spain I always go for menu del dia to sample the local fare. I understand its not what you like from your videos. But it's not all about Fish and chips for me. Or a British chicken tika massala. I like to respect the local economy and pay in the way of the locals too. It's not all about being 'British'.
I completely agree as i find it the height of arragance that anyone would go to another country and complain about the fact that the food suits local tastes and it is not the same as what they are used to in their country.The British are probably the worst in the world for their narrow attitude as most other travellers from other countries are not like that
