    A pompous, pretentious breakfast for a pompous pretentious pr!ck!! Slagging off people who have the audacity to show designer labels from someone who drives a Porcher Taycan,WOW. Refusing to pay the service charge when the food and service was "impeccable". You were beginning to get me back on side with some of your recent vlogs but this one has shown the real you again. Have a bit of respect for the people who work in the hospitality service,just because you thought it was overpriced wasn't the fault of the person serving you.

    • @TheMacMaster
      @TheMacMaster  20 дней назад +4

      Rewind. Watch again. I said the service was great! I always tip. HOWEVER!! I DO NOT agree with an added service charge. It doesn't go to the servers. The company keeps part of it. Do your research! I pay cash tips if service is good.

    I've never been to Leeds but I've always thought it looked lovely with some gorgreous old buildings, the arcade was great example. The breakfast was typical of what you'd expect in a place like Harvey Nichols and it looked lovely to me too, and other than the type of bread and tomatoes, I loved the rest. I was surprised and happy that there was no greenery on the plate like some poncey places shove on and spoil it. Service charge is a big no no for me though as the point of staff in a shop is to serve customers, for which they already get paid to do. Nice video.

    Harvey Nichols has seven stores within the UK and Ireland, consisting of five large-format stores in London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester, and two small-format stores in Bristol and Dublin. A beauty concept store, Beauty Bazaar, Harvey Nichols, opened in Liverpool in November 2012.

    Did you reserve the entire restaurant? Where are all the other patrons? Lee, do you pay any attention to the background of your vlogs? At the end of the vlog where you extoll the City of Leeds, did you not see all that trashy graffiti sprayed along the street level of the buildings behind you? Does Leeds have a graffiti abatement program to clean up all that crap? Defacing property is an act of vandalism and shows Leeds has a cheeky criminal element.

    Charbonnel & Walker chocolates (that you were looking at in that shop window) were my late mum's favourites. Back in the 50s, when she worked in an office in London, her boss used to buy them for her occasionally as a thankyou for all her hard word. In later years, I always used to try and get a small box of them to go in her Christmas stocking.

    In Oz, to get an idea of the price, you have to double the English price to get AUD [ roughly ]. $30 for a full English seems OK for a restaurant. It's a big meal that really is all you need for the whole day. Mind I would go for an extra sausage. $40 for breakfast tho might be stretching it.
