AC/DC songs are stuck on my head Especially hells bells is impressive These days this line has played in my head all along So I listen to your bass to make my brain hells bells more accurate
hello Sam...im wondering if you would be nice enough to respond kinda 'how' you managed to tab AC/DC stuff without any issues? What am I missing? thx m8
Jeje y pensar que esta cancion es Highway to hell pero un poco mas lenta. Estan padres las canciones de AC/DC, pero todas sus canciones son lo mismo jeje
Kudos on not falling asleep, I know how tiring ac/dc is for a bass player 😴 the lines sound great with the recording but fuck are they boring to play alone
Why are you playing it so high up on the neck? And especially why not a pick? This song especially based on the A string sounds a lot fuller on bass and a hell of a lot less work. And playing with a pick? It pushes through the guitars and gives it a little harder sound. I know finger picking on bass a lot of people call a no no. But it's a distinct sound on bass and now 15 thousand bass teachers just had heart attacks. Or at least crap attacks. Play how you wanna play but when you got two guitars and you are matching thier tones you want those 8s to stand out and Clif Williams definately stands out. So if you play the open A it provides an opportunity to slide up to the G
Hit the wrongbutton on the screen but playing the open A provides you an opportunity to slide up to the D note and gives the bass line a hole different attitude and character. As for picks? On bass focus totally on down picking. And using a pick opens up a totally different tone called palm muting on bass. But never strum the string. Anchor your picking hand somewhere and make each stroke intentional. You never want to strum an individual string. But again all the heart attacks and crap attacks from bass puritans, you may have to choke the neck. Ant to be totally honest? No teacher can teach an individual player to play by techniques. I won't teach anyone to play anything but if I did my most important lesson would be the very basics and just say your notes up and down the fret and corellate those notes with tabs. All tabs are not equal. The E string fretted at the fifth fret is an A and you really want maximum vibration on the strings for the pickups to make the richest sound through an amp.
Look at Holy Wars, The Trooper, Vulfpeck, YYZ, etc. Sure, there are some that are real simple, but there are also some that really are quite challenging and take a lot of skill
I'm guessing you haven't seen the bass line for war pigs, or really any other songs that have tough basslines. Edit: Actually the bass is a huge part of the song and, if done incorrectly, can break the songs flow. Guitars have a bit of room when it comes to timing in a song, but basses, nope. Not a single note can be off because you lead the beat. This isn't even to mention the multiple ways of playing a bass. This song only has fingerstyle, but there is also tapping, slapping, popping, thumb muting, etc.

Cliff definitely knew what he was doing with his bass lines. They’re so effective. I’m glad my videos help :)
I seen AC/DC twice back in the 80s (I think) anyway at 58 I finally bought a new bass over the weekend to learn to play, thanks for your lessons.🤘🏼🎸
Thanks alot! It helped me play one of my favourite AC/DC Songs!
Glad I could help!
So simple a bassline but no one can play it like Cliff
Agreed
Sometimes the "simplest" bass lines are the most effective
The thing about cliff is that hes so tight with the timing.
Cliff uses a pick with constant downstrokes, that's part of the sound.
Sounds so good. Thank you so much. Amazing job👍🏻
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked it :)
Love It!!! Tranks for The TAB!!
You’re welcome! I’m glad you like it :)

Would you like to join our band we need a bass player

Where do I submit?
@Geo, Nice! I really like it. It feels really good to play and has a great tone, especially with a pick :)
Its also helpful with my stiff hands, can reach note easily and do riffs better

haha, thanks. They can be boring alone, but if you're with the band they're a lot of fun
Yo is that a Jackson??
You know it!

Does anay one know the tempo
The intro is 96 bpm and then the rest of the song is 104 bpm
Thanks

quite a lot of mistakes while playing, but thanks for good tab!
👀
Another bass cover where the bass is inaudible.
I don't know what you're talking about, but I can hear the bass. Try using headphones or a speaker?
If I ever join a band... I think bass guitar is where it's at. Least amount of skill required period. LOL
Look at Holy Wars, The Trooper, Vulfpeck, YYZ, etc. Sure, there are some that are real simple, but there are also some that really are quite challenging and take a lot of skill
@@SamboatMusicBassCovers primus > all that crap you listed
What I listed was challenging stuff without the bassist singing. Whether someone likes those songs or not is up to them :)
@@SamboatMusicBassCovers these covers while simple are still quite captivating nonetheless

Aburridisimo el bajo en el rock n roll
AC/DC bass lines are simple, but I wouldn't say that they're boring. They fit so well into the song
If Cliff Williams moved more with the guitar, then there'd be no tension and the release wouldn't be as huge as most AC/DC songs enjoy.
@@gustavovalladares5296 That's not to say that it might not be more exciting if the lines were a tiny bit spicier.
