remember this video because of trance music, dreaming about owning honda with b-series engine, now i producing trance and work on my own ek4 :)
I have the same for my d16 and it has worked perfectly.
if you calibrate the tps, closed and wot, you'll never have the butterfly stick
and adjust your throttle cable to allow for max travel closed and wot.
@JEMMotorsports, we didn't pull out the stud extractor because most garage DIY'ers won't have one in their tool kit. The goal of this video was to show how to install the product with some basic tools. :)
Where can buy the same multimeter, like in the video?
Also the wires red and green (not used yellow) in engine D series D16Y8
Will read correct voltage with this same plug (that probably is B series plug tps)
Going to be getting the 66mm skunk2 TB, fingers crossed the install goes as smoothly as this! damn that EG is clean
Is still match for the stock intake manifold? No need pro series intake manifold for 66mm? (from past know 70mm is pro series size, or maybe just buy pro series..)
@ for stock I am not sure, I have the pro series and it fits perfect. I recommend the Pro intake.
@@Fuzion180 the problem need to make correct this tps, don't know how do it or have I for about some multimeter and how make with hem check voltage, try even found this video multimeter if even older for make copy paste for match tps..
..also in past try with some fake copy model pro series without logo skunk2 and thortle 70 mm on engine ZC, but still is 1.6 Liter d series..
Today have d16y8..but still is not B series or H or F..so did it make really hp more in D series? I'm read there now 56mm tb in d16y8, but hem condition not the best..
Also search even second hand this set 70tb+intake manifold skunk2..for D series..

@chewbakage, your OEM sensors should work fine for this application.
Installed this in H22 engine
It's more powerful when the VTEC is armed, but the idle is higher than the stock one.
Did you used stock manifold?
@ Kyle the iacv doesn't hook up to the throttle body it hooks up to the intake manifold. you must have left something unplugged. only the fitv would be on the throttle body an the ecu won't throw a code for it because it's mechanical not electrical
@myjaycer, take another look at the video when you get a chance, you'll see the gasket peeking out from behind the Skunk2 Alpha Series throttle body when he places it on the intake manifold.
I installed mine with out checking the voltage. works fine
i installed mine without checking the voltage, and it works fine.

It is an OEM Acura Integra Type R throttle cable purchased new from a local Acura dealership.
What bracket did you use on the intake manifold to mount the throttle cable? And will the type R throttle cable work on a 99 Civic Si?
I have a 70 mm throttle body where do I need to put that at I heard stock is 5 why do I see 6 something on your throttle body settings

i appreciate that they put this out there but they messed up the most important part. They say u need to measure the TPS "votage" but when they zoom in to the mutimeter, he's actually measuring the resistance
I agree, since the voltage comes from the ECU and he is bench testing it. Definately reading ohms not volts, terminology is key :)
Is the tps sensor reading very important if you can program it in the computer?
those Allen head bolts look like they would strip out so easy

You meant fast idle valve iacv is at the back
1:20 IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO USE A STUD EXTRACTOR for removing these studs.
C'mon Dr."C"... spend the extra 20 bucks on the tool when the next tool truck shows-up. j/k LOL!

With these install it does require a tune on the ecu correct?
that's not a voltage reading, that's a resistance (ohm's) reading, there's a difference.
I have one of these (70mm) and i just cant get a tps for it. My throttle body turns to the right. Where can i find this?? Please i need some help

hi. i’m running into a problem where i can’t get my TPS voltages within spec. for my gsr, the manual states .48v - .5v closed and 4.5v open but i can’t get my readings below .520v and 4.67v open.
i recently installed the skunk2 manifold with the skunk2 alpha throttle body but now my car doesnt rev pass 3k rpms
How do you fine tune the idle ( Red the screw?) you only mentioned it but didn’t show you tuning it

What are the TPS voltage readings for the alpha 70mm? I cant get them below .54v closed and 6.4v wide open... I know factory is .5v closed and 4.5v open

I bought the skunk2 manifold for my d16y8 the coolant tube slides out I guess common problem on other peoples aswell any hints how to fix that?

I have a D16Y7 that I made turbo has the alpha skunk2 IM and an a 66mm alpha skunk2 TB the Y7 TB has the iacv at the bottom of it the skunk2 does not. Do I have to get the iacv that goes behind th IM or does it get eliminated?

Will this TB work just fine on a stock f22b intake manifold..I've heard different things about needing the skunk2 intake manifold also,which I will get next pay check.just need to fix my idle issue right now with the throttle body
What about the iacv? Where does that go? I have a 98 honda civic ex and installed the this tb and it runs terrible and throws engine codes that all lead back to the iacv not hooked up

So the question I have is the iac valve on the stock throttle body there is no use for it on this one because I got one that just arrived and mine has the iac valve on the bottom of the throttle body so what do I do thanks

My throttle body doesn’t have an emissions hose, which one do I order?
You can order the same item that fits your year/model and cap off the unused vaccum port.

So is that a Type R bracket? The holes on my stock b18b bracket don't line up with the pro series i/m.
I connected my multimeter to the wires like you did but my readings stay at 0.00 no matter what what am i doing wrong. Its set at 20v
Mine did the same make sure you have a good ground connection and make sure the signal wire is good as well... Mine was at 0.00 til i got a good connection to the sending wire

where did the new throttle cable bracket come from and is that another cable or the OEM?
Hello. my idle is like 1700 after this install. I adjust the stop screw and it turns the idle adjust screw all the way closed nut it still revs high. any other thoughts on how to bring it down?

@@chadbergan7721 yes I finally got that calibrated correctly but I found out that there is something wrong with the part of the skunk2 throttle body where the throttle cable connects to. I tried adjusting the throttle stop screw both ways bot it still revs high. if I apply pressure on that part that the throttle cable attach to then the idle comes down , but if I release pressure that it slowly comes back up. the throttle cable screw I tried adjusting too but still not working. o ordered the original TB o. ebay with sensors already on it used and now car runs fine. I still kept the SK2 throttle body though

@@omarG19100 What they dont tell you is on your oem throttle body there a spring that returns your tps that’ll pull the cable side back as well they don’t put it on theres

Reusing the gsr throttle cable? What bracket did you use to attatch it to the IM? I found a great deal on a Victor x last week and bought it. I have an 01 gsr and I am about to put a victor x with this throttle body on pretty soon.

How does not having the FITV affect idle ect. ?
If your car has one and you install a tb without one you will not have cold idle

I ordered two one black and the other standard or whatever intakes and the black fuel rail no hardware or fuel setup and one throttle body nothing else and non adjustable throttle still not on my car not hatin just stating
funny I had to work at some persons house and saw this same car in there garage and i said what motor are you going to put in it and he said skunk2 had put all the bolt on's on this car then he sold the motor to his cousin for only $2000 with everything and I said nothing else thought how dumb he sounded and he just had the shell sitting and he told me that was his second paint job some dude in ocean side and noe he doesn't evern drive Honda and has some old ass Lexus dropped on tein to bad he never had passion for his car way to go brandon Mcray!!! should of hooked me up but he did give me a discount for my parts tho when I met him at the super sale they had at the ware house

piece of shit throttle body, 2 years have nothing but issues, throttle sticking when closed, throttle sticking open, idle hunting, cels, cant get tps to correct values at wot, it can never truly be fixed without a single problem left over at the minimum
1 throttle body and 20 stickers later and my honda has 500hp now bruhh.
