You just described literally every single Alfred in every single medium. Every single one. Lmfao Jeremy Irons isn’t unique in that regard, those two things are the bare minimum characteristics of Alfred 🤣 Nolan’s/Caine’s Alfred was a new take that I enjoyed, and although pessimistic- still a helpful Alfred. And much more enjoyable to me than this one.
I’m glad this cut actually showed Batman engaging the parademons in hand to hand combat. The theatrical version had him using escapism n that’s it. Just running away.

Every time he is onscreen, it is PAINFULLY obvious it’s Ben Afleck pretending to be Batman. He’s a comic con cosplayer of Batman. Christian Bale is about a billion times better as Bruce Wayne AND Batman. And yes I call out both characters for Bale, because he delves into BOTH. He IS Bruce Wayne, FIRST. And then you get to witness Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne the man, transform INTO Batman, his alter ego. He’s so much more than just a superhero. Christian Bale gives us multiple layers of a single character, something Ben Afleck is simply incapable of doing as a professional actor. To be fair, is Ben a movie STAR? Absolutely and a massively successful one. Not only that, but he is a very skilled and award winning director. But, he will never be an award winning worthy actor on the level of someone like Christian Bale.
Only thing I was upset by is how Snyder didn't use Batman's gauntlet shield as an energy absorption mechanism that allowed him - briefly, at least - to power up his attacks, like using something like a taser-based knuckleduster as shown in Assault on Arkham.
That would be to soon as it was shown in the marvel movies and Bruce and Alfred are still working on that tech maybe i my was the plan in the future movies in the final battle
I like that Barry isn't moving the civilians to safety with his speed, because moving them with his speed would burn them to crisp. I mean that is the whole purpose for his suit that can handle re entry burn, so his body wouldn't burn. I have heard that the Speed Force would protect him and everyone he carries from burning, but hey, this Barry doesn't know that yet, let alone name himself The Flash. He wouldn't risk moving people with his speed
I do believe Barry is pretty aware that he himself won't burn. But, as we saw early on in the movie when he saves Iris, civilian clothing stands little chance in handling his speed. That's the primary reason for his special suit.

Barry could do it without harming them he just doesn’t have proper control yet. CW flash kept burning his clothes when he first started as well. But eventually he was able to stop doing that and move people safely.

I wish Flash's sword push to Diana at 2:50 would've actually served a purpose. Like, say a parademon was actually right on her tail about to tear her apart, and at that last slow-mo second Flash pushes the sword to Diana, she grabs it, flips around and kills the threat behind her then lands at the bottom of the tunnel. As it is now, there's this whole big cool slow mo scene with Flash heroically running around the tunnel to get the sword to her, but then she just lands... had she not grabbed her sword she could've just picked it up off the ground a second later after landing, and as we see there's no immediate threat around her. Lot of cool build up towards nothing really.
Don’t forget that this Batman is 40 plus years old and dealt with at least 20 years fighting crime He also lost Dick Grayson in this universe which make sense why he is no kill rule doesn’t apply anymore
Wears a suit of armor with a billion dollar spear and grenade launcher for superman. Faces an alien invasion brings a grapple gun and tank..... Hmm maybe bring that suit next time Bats.
To be fair, that suit required proper preparation that almost took a year or two to develop. The Invasion of Steppenwolf happened shortly after the death of Superman.
If they just learned that Steppenwolf was in the sewers in the scene with Gordon right before this, how did they get the Nightcrawler there that quickly?
Affleck is the only Batman that ever got to fight & action scenes correct. Bale punches like a girl. By the time of his 3rd movie they pretty much gave up because the bad guys just run up to him and fall down. Pattinson doesn't cut it but Farrell's Penguin is incredible. A Batman movie with Affleck, Farrell, and either Mangianello or Frank Grillo as Deathstroke could be real success.
