Something I found interesting about this moment is how Steppenwolf didn’t charge into the chamber, kill Silas, and then run off with the Mother Box. Because we all know that if he really wanted to, he could’ve cut down Victor in an instant, and killed Silas in the blink of an eye, but he didn’t. He actually tried to talk to Silas before going full Murder monster on everyone. Which suggests to me that he doesn’t kill out of a fun and twisted sense of humor or sick satisfaction. He kills because he needs to. Think about it. The only people he killed throughout the entirety of this film were a couple of Amazons and Atlanteans, and only because he was in the heat of combat. Which leads me to believe that Steppenwolf is not a heartless or soulless monster the way he was depicted in Josstice League who enjoys killing. Now, don’t mistake my rationale for the idea that Steppenwolf is actually good, oh no, Steppenwolf is pure evil. But the way he is depicted suggests that he is meticulous, and respectful of his opponents, never letting his guard down, even against the weakest of opponents. It creates a more realistic villain.
I agree with you. In Josstice League he treated every situation like he had nothing to lose. In the Snyder Cut you can feel how exhausted and desperate he is and understand that he’s just trying to go home, but at any cost.

In Snyder's Cut he thinks that too. The part where Victor tells the story about how his father found the box happens because Arthur says he knows way too much about the boxes, so either he works with the enemy or he knows something, somehow.

This justice league extended cut does feel like a real great team unlike the previous version which it gave it everything it could do at first in 2017, at least a new extended version of Zack Snyder's version came out perfect and Zack Snyder did even more better like the other version did but the previous version was something different but Zack Snyder was able to finish what he started and how he was going to complete his new scenes of cut for his own version.

Zack Snyder's visual treatment of Batman is commendable. The shot where he comes out of the smoke in the lab is beautiful.

This justice league extended cut does feel like a real great team unlike the previous version which it gave it everything it could do at first in 2017, at least a new extended version of Zack Snyder's version came out perfect and Zack Snyder did even more better like the other version did but the previous version was something different but Zack Snyder was able to finish what he started and how he was going to complete his new scenes of cut for his own version.
