    Your right about 100% argon for aluminium, also for stainless steel. The impurities in the gas gets into your weld. As for mild steel the co2 allows more heat penetration.

      @petersmith1076 ahh i see, thanks heaps for that confirmation Pete! I remembered I bought it for alloy but didn't know why haha, I turned my mig into an alloy welder for a radiator repair.. kinda worked , it got me out of trouble anyway haha

    Did you leave the boot lid on for stability to keep it all square mate?

      @jamesreardon8585 nah not really Reardo, it's just that I haven't taken it off yet haha, it would be easier to remove and do the repairs but I got lazy haha

    How do you like that hafco pan break? I have a cheap one and it flexes in the middle a bit creating a uneven bend, was thinking of getting that same hafco one.

      @tfoot22 hey mate, honestly for 450 bucks it's not bad. it bends my 1mm sheet steel decently, any thicker and it does the same as you said, it's handy for small rust repairs, and doesnt flex too much
