More than likely your fuel pump needs replacing. I did the same to my 2002 c320 and it fixed the issue

Cool vid Cody the McGyver guy! Just because Mr mercedes says u need a special tool only means he makes more doh! Lol! Unlike yourself i to find other ways to climb the mountain sorta speak. However, ive been browsing through YT looking for a tutorial on how to fix a no pwer command unit. Only thing comes on is the radio but no sound. Radio seems to be a fiber optic thing. but i cannot figure out (so far) how to regain power on the center command? Have any ideas? Thanks

Minh Truong fuel pump faulty ...had it and it was the fking pump. Odometer, engine ECU and sending unit replaced card had 1/2 tank problem... New fuel pump in the back solved immediately

Most 198x Mercedes carry it under the first aid box on their rear headrests area. It should be 1 13/16 but with 2 or 3 or 4 prong Mercedes "banana" style plug
