How To Make The Pineapple Blossom Cocktail with Bourbon

The Pineapple Blossom cocktail has been around for a while now. I found this version on Justin Sajda's IG page. It's an easy way to introduce someone new to whiskey to Bourbon. The pineapple, lemon juice, and simple syrup balance beautifully with the Bourbon and orange bitters, adding some depth of flavour. Try it out, and let me know what you think.

PINEAPPLE BLOSSOM
2 oz/60 ml Bourbon
1 oz/30 ml Pineapple Juice
.75 oz/22.5 ml Lemon Juice
.75 oz/22.5 ml Simple Syrup
2 Dashes Orange Bitters
METHOD
1. AAdd all the ingredients to the shaker.
2. Shake with ice for 8-10 seconds.
3. Pour into an ice filled glass.

Made one tonight for my wife. Delicious, indeed, but I think I'd try it next time with a bit less simple, maybe 1/2 instead of 3/4. On the other hand, my wife thinks it's terrific as is. Cheers!

@@boozeontherocks Preferred version for us is 1/2 simple syrup rather than 3/4. Still a bit sweet but less so, and we felt it was a more balanced drink this way. Oh, and I served it up in a sour glass. Very nice! Cheers!
