A piece of trivia for you: the line "One day children everywhere will thank me" was later changed to "One day people everywhere will thank me". Thank goodness indeed!
@@WillowTommyJones-jy6dk Because he was forced to eat something he didn't like as a child and years later he went on to become a real chef and make food that kids DO LIKE and that message he delivers at the end "One day kids everywhere will thank me!" shows that kids and myself still love him and his canned food today. RIP Chef Boyardee.
That young Italian boy, Ettore Boiardi (Anglicized as Hector Boyardee), and the rest of the Boiardi family, would emigrate to the United States. Ettore Boiardi worked as head chef at the Plaza Hotel in New York City before opening his own Italian restaurant, Il Giardino d'Italia, in Cleveland, Ohio. Chef Boyardee canned pastas were first mass-produced in 1928. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ettore_Boiardi
Another thing,in this one,all of those schoolboys and that teacher more look norwegian than italian. However, since this takes place in Piacenza,Italy,Piacenza is in Northern Italy.
The real chef actually never planned on selling mass market Italian food. It all started because people loved his sauce so much he started selling it to his customers.
One day everybody will thank me, buddy. Is what Chef Hector Bioardi (sorry for mispronounced last name) is saying. But c'mon nobody throws him out.... ever! And yes, I am gladly thankful for chef boyardee products..... And, so can you!😫🙂 1904: one day, children, everywhere will thank me. 2021: Yeah, that's right, buddy, one day you'll thank me for bringing you delicious ravioli, pal
Geez Laweez, what the hell does it take for someone to help me in my search for the Freaky-Deeky Chef Boyardee commercial i'm looking for? I'm dying here!
I've been spending a fruitless lifetime looking for the other one where chef boyardee's butt ugly, older brother is trying to impress his gorgeous girlfriend with his shitty tortellini recipe. That's when chef boyardee and his mom save the day for the sibling. I had a huge crush on the italian girlfriend back in the day. If anyone could post that one here on youtube,i'd be appreciative.
ONE DAY CHILDREN EVERYWHERE WILL THANK ME!
I love this commercial!

My brother and I have been quoting this commercial for, like, thirty years.

Thank Goodness for Chef Boyardee
The real chef actually never planned on selling mass market Italian food. It all started because people loved his sauce so much he started selling it to his customers.
The recipe for Ettore's tomato sauce was available online for a while. Apparently that and his bolognese were among the best both then and now.
ThankGoodness for Chef Boyardee
