How Sweden selects the entries: Months of preparation and countless submissions to shortlist thirty entries. Five televised heats consisting of six songs, with the top two songs directly qualifying for the final, and the third and fourth placed songs going to a final qualification round. The top two songs in the final qualification then progress to the final of twelve. The winner of the final is determined by a 50 50 combination of votes from the public and a jury of carefully chosen international experts. How UK selects the entries: Record publisher asked if they know anyone desperate/skint/bonkers enough.

Baby Lasagne was definitely my winner too. Would mostly be in agreement with you on most of the 25 give or take a bit of moving some around. Great review. Croatia and Ireland were my personal top 2 as well, with Switzerland rounding out my top 3. Croatia and Ireland were so different in such beautiful ways and I absolutely loved both so much! I would have loved for either to have won but Nemo is a worthy winner too! Great video. ❤❤❤
I loved Switzerland this year because being able to sing like that without noticeable voice cracks is just pure talent! The same with Gjon’s Tears from 2021. And whenever my mom and dad say these songs are pretty bad I come around arguing that singing like this and being stable with all the vocals definitely is a great talent and should be appreciated even if you don’t like the song personally.
In terms of a raw song, i think switzerland were easily best. When you add the eurovision factor i think Croatia and Ireland definitely get elevated. Whether better than Switzerland in my opinion is impossible to call. Israeli committee doesn't miss a chance on playing rightful victims card. 6:50 The UK *really* doesn’t like giving points to Italy, so this (while disappointing) doesn’t come as a shock to me lol (though the UK jury did give this 5 points). My problem with this is that it ended up being overstaged - RAI were convinced on a “Eurovision” styling, when the Sanremo performance (just her on stage) worked a lot better and was a lot less chaotic. That said, I do still think this was the best song this year. Very catchy, lyrically substantive (the English translation is quite philosophical) and well composed - Angelina is a class performer too. I was really impressed with what I saw in Malmö, it just didn’t translate as well onto the TV. Still got nice points from most countries to continue the top 10 streak from 2017.

So Angelina Mango said that her song is for the Gen-Z and maybe thats a reason some don't get it because, I'm 21 and that music is what I hear everday and also a lot of my friends also so maybe your are a bit to old for this song (I don't mean that disrespectful)
I think so too from what I’ve observed of others’ reaction to the song (as a fellow almost 21yo), though the production and feel of the song almost seems like something Stromae would release. That said, my mum really likes this song too, though I feel like La noia isn’t the kind of thing British people would get.

I agree with you that Germany had to think outside the box whom it wasn't as generic as the previous 4 entries from 2019 to 2023 but it's a good thing Isaak scored 117 Points over Olly Alexander who suffered his awful punishment at 46 points much like how Germany would beat England in the UEFA Euro 1996 Semi Final.🇩🇪😊.
My bottom bunch (out of order) was Cyprus, Is***l, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain and Sweden…They’re just boring. Personal “why do you THAT well?” Award was France. They send so much vocal strong ballads that I’m getting full!
I totally disagree with your ranking but hey, that’s the beauty of Eurovision innit My top 10 is as follows: 1) Portugal 2) Croatia 3) Armenia 4) Norway 5) Israel 6) Lithuania 7) France 8) Cyprus 9) Luxembourg 10) Ukraine
Descendre systématiquement Israël c'est une mode comme celle qui semble tendance à l'Eurovision de venir "chanter avec des plumes roses dans le postérieur.
Why do you say systematicly taking down Israel? I personally base my taste in songs on originality, vocals, message and contemporarity. The more national identity there is to the song the better as well. Israel song is a generic ballad - no originality at all. After they had to redo the lyrics it is just a love song...and the lyrics were incoherent as well. They should have performed it in Hebrew to have kept that Israeli feel to it as there is no national identity to its production either.... I probably wouldn't have put it last in the grand final, but definitely not in the top 15. Doesn't have to do with politics at all you know...
I can't believe someone put the UK ahead of Italy, Ukraine and Latvia. I have never heard so many false notes from anyone except Olly at this year's Eurovision.
I have beef with marcus and martinus from when i was little. I honestly think their fans have some kind of deseise. Really bad artist. Really good video, I agree with the italy placement, i liked it at first started in my top 5 but quickly fell off personally.
@@DavidDamen-ve7broh be quiet. It wasn't about boxes. They have a selection criteria, he won it. Olly Alexander is a pretty big musician in the UK so him even entering the mix for the BBC gave him preferential status.

Yay, Finland 9th 🇫🇮❤️
Why didn't you include the countries that were eliminated in the semifinals?
Because they have their own ranking video, which you can find on the channel 😊
@@AdamMartyn I hadn't seen it, sorry. I'm gonna watch it now.

Croatia is a people's choice ❤🎉🇭🇷
Lol my favourite was (and is still have it on repeat) Germany 🇩🇪
Second Croatia and Third Switzerland but yeah unpopular winning opinion from me 😅
I agree with you that Germany had to think outside the box whom it wasn't as generic as the previous 4 entries from 2019 to 2023 but it's a good thing Isaak scored 117 Points over Olly Alexander who suffered his awful punishment at 46 points much like how Germany would beat England in the UEFA Euro 1996 Semi Final.🇩🇪😊.
Here's my slogan for Eurovision 2024 - Hurricane of Shite
Everyday I’m losing my mind…
…quite literally.
It is crap tho.
I watched Doctor Who Unleashed rather than that!
Yeah it was awful this year.
Why do i get 50 ads on your video
This year's Eurovision was terrible and very embarrassing for the UK.
Like to know what you thought on Europapa?
Absolute banger! Amazing to hear live! Would be Top 5 somewhere for me! No.3 peak perhaps 🇳🇱
Thanks very much totally agree. 👍
Oh, the oddities of life. I agree with your #1 Croatia. On the other hand, Ireland was effing awful!
I loved Tali's performance, vocals and song. Whoops! I do agree with Europapa tho.
🙏🙏🥰🥰🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥baby lasagna😻😻😻😻
I cannot believe Luxembourg chose Fighter over Drowning In The Rain. Literally an exceptional ballad which could have come top 3 with the jury
My bottom bunch (out of order) was Cyprus, Is***l, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain and Sweden…They’re just boring.
Personal “why do you THAT well?” Award was France. They send so much vocal strong ballads that I’m getting full!
I totally disagree with your ranking but hey, that’s the beauty of Eurovision innit
My top 10 is as follows:
1) Portugal
2) Croatia
3) Armenia
4) Norway
5) Israel
6) Lithuania
7) France
8) Cyprus
9) Luxembourg
10) Ukraine
Doesn't have to do with politics at all you know...
why are you so tanned? guessing from your video being published 2 weeks ago means you uploaded this on April/May...please teach me master!
Like with the real final, this list is mostly good - but Bambie Thug should be higher!
Croatia the true winner❤🇭🇷🐱
UK is the worst one by far.
You lost me at ranking Ukraine so low I agree with most of it but I can’t belive how like Cyprus and Germany is higher than it
I respect all other opinions however and a lot of the rest of the ranks were unequivocally correct
I can't believe someone put the UK ahead of Italy, Ukraine and Latvia. I have never heard so many false notes from anyone except Olly at this year's Eurovision.
Can't understand Ukraine so low...but like he said, it's all subjective. It's such a female anthem! 💕💕💕
0:29 was that a pun?
An unintentional one, yes 😂
OMG also I just realized, some of my fav SONGS were last for you! (La noia, fighter, hurricane)
Im not offended tho.
I have beef with marcus and martinus from when i was little. I honestly think their fans have some kind of deseise. Really bad artist.
Really good video, I agree with the italy placement, i liked it at first started in my top 5 but quickly fell off personally.
tbh i think we deserved 0 his vocal was not great and the dancers in my personal view it was a bit much
@@margaret-yr6uh BBC chose it they wanted to tick boxes
@@DavidDamen-ve7broh be quiet. It wasn't about boxes. They have a selection criteria, he won it. Olly Alexander is a pretty big musician in the UK so him even entering the mix for the BBC gave him preferential status.
@@calum5975 nope it was about ticking boxes and olly couldnt even sing his own song and that performance was way to sexual if the bbc wanted to win they would send someone who could actually sing they only chose olly because he is lgbtars
You and I have very different tastes.
but there was 26 countries in final why not rank 1
Austria would've been Takanashi Kiara and her song CHIMERA
Also if you didn't rank Netherlands then why is Joost in the Thumbnail
dons is oppenheimer but bald 😀
05:45 lol this whole video forfeited any credit at this point
06:50 Seriously? L video 💀 This song was this years true winner
It's just my own subjective opinion 😂 funny how it seems to trigger so many
I dont like your opinion
LUXMBOURG WTF ?
LATVIA WTF ?
UKRAINE WTF ?
CYPRUS WTF ?
Edit : OMGG sorry i was so fed up 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
