My father was diagnosed with glioblastoma in June 2016. We are currently fighting so hard. I'm so sorry you're going through this. You have to stay strong, eat healthy, exercise, get second opinions and more... I will pray for you
Thank you Liz. If I'm honest I think I'm still in the denial phase a lot of the time. I'm just sort of watching it happen to me like an out of body experience...waiting for the urge to fight to kick in. It's so great to see that urge in others, gives me great hope for my future.
I also have a brain tumor, I did have a part of it removed but it wasn't all removed because it was in a very vascular area. I started with seizures when I was 34 and once when I fell and really hit my head they decided to do an MRI . The tumor was there. The dr thought that it had probably been there awhile and that it would more than likely stay the same forever. That's not the case. It did grow so I had to have surgery. It wasn't able to be totally removed so after going through radiation I now go back quite often to check for any growth. I try not to worry because that will just cause me more stress so I just take it a day at a time. It's really all I can do! I have a husband and three daughters a grandson and another grand baby on the way. Nobody knows how long we will be on this earth so I refuse to think the worst and fee sorry for myself. I really think I'll live a long happy life with just a little different way of doing so. You I take epilepsy mess forever and I do have seizures but they are lessening in occurrence!! Good luck sweetheart! If you need an ear to be sympathetic please message me and I'll help in any way that I can! Thanks for sharing your story.
Toni, you are a gem! Thank you for sharing your story with me. It is so unbelievably comforting to hear that others out there are going through the same thing that I am. I want to be like you, living my life as though I'll be here until a ripe ol' age but that little voice always seems to creep up and say "you've only got a handful of years, better figure everything out, clocks ticking!" Thank you for offering your time, I can't think of anything more generous!
I have anaplastic oligodendroglioma (grade 3) in my left frontal lobe. I also still have seizures that occur mostly around my monthly cycle. I had a complete resection of the tumor on June 17th last year. I completed six weeks of radiation last August and started the PCV chemo regimen in late September. I woke up from surgery with half of my hair shaved off (think of a drastic mullet). After six weeks of radiation, my hair fell out everywhere except one small circle in the middle top of my head (think of Bert or Ernie). When it came back, it came back curly and very thin. The spot above my tumor is completely bald and will probably remain bald. The chemo did not make me lose my hair at all. However, I have lost over sixty pounds on chemo. You may want to hold off on the weight loss surgery and just get to a healthy weight. I hope you never have to do it, but you don't want to become emaciated. If you have questions, just let me know and I'll be glad to respond.
Thank you so much for your comment Kristy, you've certainly gone through more than I have and I have much to learn from you. I won't have to go through the radiation and chemo for a few years yet and I am very grateful for that. You're a rockstar. I actually already had the weight loss surgery in December of 2016. My channel is documenting my weight loss journey. I am glad that I had it because it would be horrible to be going through all of thing and battling super morbid obesity at the same time. You've reminded me to do a video on how I'm dealing with hair loss because I've certainly been dealing with that as well. How have you been dealing with it?
I don't believe in accidents. I Believe that I found your video to pray for you. I pray the Lord would be a comforting and encouraging presence for you, and of course, for healing.
Allie Shares my best advise is to reach out to god...clear your concience and ask for what you want and believe for it but very importantly if you have issue with anyone forgive them because faith works by love, thats what we are made to do...love oneanother. the bible tells us that when jesus healed the sick he once said you are forgiven for is it easier to say be healed or your forgiven. The bible also says that we must forgive if we want to be forgiven so when you pray ask forgiveness for your sins. thats why repentance is so important. If you believe in god and believe the power his words have when we speak them, the power we give to his angels to carry out his word...the armies of heaven to fight the enemy for us. yes the bible has powerful words. Everytime you feel sick you say "by his stripes I am healed" and heaven will back you up, Then you will have the confidence in God and he loves you and wants to heal you. the enemy will lie to you and say you dont deserve to be healed or this or that but you absolutely can be healed.
Thank you! I have looked into it. I have my card and all...plus I'm in Washington where it's completely legal. Turns out medical grade it sort of hard to come by, at least in WA right now. I'll definitely revisit in the future once we get our laws sorted.
I pray for you to get cancer free your the only one can make it happen stay positive and try to eat healthy more anti cancer friut and vegetables and tell yourself every day that your totally fine nothing happens
