Love seeing B playing with live musicians again. The interaction between real human beings is just not something that can be replicated with only a backing track. Not that his shows on his own aren't entertaining or impressive, but it adds to the energy and emotion when their are other people their playing off of each other. Bucket has always elevated himself when he's playing with a band.
I was in the front row (standing) for Colonel Claypool’s Bucket of Bernie Brains years ago…and Buckethead was mesmerizing. I will never forget how he seemed like an alien being that was transported to earth for this show in San Diego. Add to that the fact that he was playing with Bernie Worrell (Talking Heads) and Les Claypool (Primus)…and you can only imagine how insane the experience was. I am forever grateful for that moment in time
I was about ~20 feet to the right at this show. There were a surprising amount of people there. The floor was full and a lot of people in the 2nd floor mezzanine area as well. Also it sounded like his live tone has improved, at least since the last time he came. It was clear yet dynamic, almost studio quality but with the bloom of live speakers. Albeit with some excess buzz coming from his amp.
@@anthonyrazza1344 what I meant by “low key” is an act that doesn’t sell out stadiums. I agree, Buckethead is not only a skilled virtuoso, but a musician who can compose and play with feeling as well.
Actually pretty smart.... Play a concert, go out in public the next day, and no one knows who you are. No fans coming up to you in the street trying to get your autograph or take selfies with you... Like the Rush lyrics for Lime light... "One must put up barriers to keep oneself intact" and "I can't pretend a stranger is a long-awaited friend"....
is every damn video of Buckethead going to be soothsayer? I swear. It’s hard to find other videos of other songs. Everyone seems to be just focused on the one. Do people realize he’s got a few albums worth of songs. Why just soothsayer? Over and over. It’s getting old. it is good to see that you have a few different songs on your channel though. omg thank you
I think he’s a fantastic guitar player, can’t imagine him going into kfc and asking for a family bucket hold the food though please just the bucket. Seriously though very talented player and you know how some guitar players really contort their face almost orgasmic while playing passionately this dude though blank expression like it’s nothing! All joking aside though have a lot of respect released an absolute ton of music really like his stuff.
Ouch, who hired the drummer? This is not a backbeat track. How does he not hear that the guitar is ahead of his feel the entire time? You don‘t have to be a virtuoso, just play the same feel as the rest. Even the bassist is trying to push him a little but he just doesn‘t hear it.
Love how he never ages
He taught Jesus how to play guitar
Face is looking a bit pale these days.
@@Markycarandbikestuff Still no wrinkles though?!
He definitely has a poker face
Only the chicken gets a little stale 🐔 🐔🐔🎶🎶🎶
Just happy to see him still alive and playing!

THE GREAT BUCKETHEAD 🏆🏆 Thank you for sharing this video. 👍👍
So much better than hearing him play with the backing tracks.
That was a pretty sick version, definitely one of the best

Bought that album and listened to it not knowing anything about it. Blew me away.

thank you for posting 🙌 i was like way in the back and got shitty vids 😭
love your jacket. love the live band.
Bucket head is my idol
Great footage! Thank you
When I grow up I wanna be like Buck
It’s so great that he can rely just on his talents and doesn’t resort to gimmicks.
Who wants to look at gurning pompous guitar faces.?
Love his little black fan between the two heads! I have the exact same one. 😄
Lets keep em' cool!!!😎😎😎
Got the same one it’s a Honeywell lol works great

House of blues?
@@1fatcat65 no it was at the Wilbur Theater. Great venue for lower key music performances and comedy shows.
I can't imagine calling Buckethead underlying acts! Nobody. Has his feel. More than just a shredder in mho .. Pike after Pike

Can't wait to see him in Atlanta this month ....
This is amazing. Thank you for sharing.
He’s got the strong ring finger like Paul Gilbert. Stoner rock with shred lines
He did take lessons from Paul Gilbert pre-bucket
@@therealmenox2 yup, love how u can tell he still has that PG Influence that run at 4:13 to about 4:20 is PG all day lol

First time hearing him jam. Fuckers awesome
And mysterious to boot
Started losing my shit at around 5:30. This guy is a magician.

This genius maestro will be one of the ICONS of music as the millennia pass. His body of work of all genres is unapproachable..
Very ture and I believe this too!!!
He is mesmerizing!!❤❤
Amazing 🎶🎵🎸❤️hope he can do new music soon
He is still perfect
Samn tight playing still at this age is good to see.
Love the Chuck Taylor sneakers! Just shows he’s a real guy….playing phenomenal guitar licks.
Love love love
That drummer is doing some thangs.
Muito Bom !!! Gostei muito !!!
What he’s doing is very hard.
HOW CAN HE KEEP GETTING BETTER?!
Hot pickups and the unmistakable EVH tube heads, that tone is a tribute to Edward, nice playing.
Love it. He blows Slash away! But cares less. He is one with that custom Gibson les paul

Cool seeing beginners playing live!! I dont dig the hat and mask but if he keeps practicing he will definitely get better!
Looks like Brewer on drums and a new addition at Bass guitar.
Those fretboard fingers are possessed.

Robin Trower. Jr?
Bucket heads bad ass!
Amazing
Theres absolutely no chance his chin is dry after playing like that . Amazing version 👏
seems like buckethead had to dial himself down so the band could keep up with him
💪
The unknown in top form
Strange to see him struggle to pick the clean parts… cleanly. But once he got going he was on fire.
Ele é um ótimo guitarrista, mesmo que meio fritacao passa um sentimento ao mesmo tempo.
❤❤❤❤❤😮

I been in Boston, sound was sucks. A day before I was in RI and sound was just out of this world
What he can do is abonded guitar and get into decks. He's great at beat matching BPM . He knows DJing than anyone on he planet.

If he played this on an acoustic guitar without all thd effects it wouldn't be as impressive.
