I got a dental x-ray Tuesday and I noticed some liquid coming from my cheek.Thursday I was picking at it. I thought it maybe a pimple. I have a heavy beard. Today I was felt a scab that I peeled off. Then I went to get a closer look in the mirror. Under my beard my cheek is all red. It looks like I was burned severely by the dental x-ray. There's no pain, but it does burn when I touch it . Is there anyway I could find out if my dentist machine was calibrated and how much radiation it is putting out? Or somewhere I can report them? I thought they had to get their x-ray machines calibrated by the government once every 6 months or so? The X-ray machine the dentist use looks like it was made in the 50s. An antique. On this antique restoration show, they made jokes about an old Dental x-ray machine that they could not restore, because it would not pass today's legal radiation levels.
