I love the rubber skeletons ! They remind me of some clear full-body skeleton string lights with red eyes/sockets that my mother had when I was young child. I absolutely loved them and just liked playing with them. A couple years ago I ended up buying similar lights and painting the eye area red with simple acrylic paint and a toothpick. So re-living childhood joys I 100% support. Thank you for sharing as always (and obviously the masks are beautiful and excited to see what the re-casts look like beside them)
Yes, I would love to see how to sponge paint the skull mask. I will be purchasing a Ghost skull and black skull (to paint) and I see that Justin's voodoo skulls will be available as well. His remind me of the old Randotti skulls. Man, I miss them plaster skulls. I love them like you love the rubber skeletons.
I never get tired of hearing your mask stories. I learn more about these masks here than any other channel. Thanks for sharing the history of these rare pieces of art.👍
definitely would be interested in you making a video on how to paint these skulls like what specific sponges to use, use just acrylic paint or acrylic mixed with latex? what to use to seal the paint, etc. i plan on buying two or three of the black ones so my daughter and i can enjoy painting them. definitely interested and keep up the great content 🙌🎃
Wow Rudy I'd love one of those old brown vinyl skulls. I haven't had masks for years. I was a kid when I had them and back then I had no idea how to care for them and they all perished. If the new Don Post skulls were vinyl not latex I'd probably buy one. I'd love to see you do some DIY paint skulls btw.
Owning a Skull back in the day, as a kid was the coolest thing ever, I’m really hoping some of them will be in vinyl I think the ghost skull will definitely be final as well as the black ones. I’m pretty sure Justin told me that but I’ll have to double check.
@@RudysWorldOfficial Yes I can imagine. You and I are the same age it seems and 8 had lots of those rubber skeletons also a bunch of things in your trick shop set up. Like the rubber cut finger etc. I'm from the UK and finding any Don Post stuff in the early 80's was nigh on impossible. But how I drooled over those old back page Fangoria and Starliog mask ads!
I always loved rubber skeletons as a kid. I was recently searching for one of the 5 foot latex skeletons that used to be popular in the mid 90's but no luck. Do you know if the new trick or treat don post halloween 3 skulls are going to be vinyl? I just ordered a tots "mabrys monsters gary vinyl hooded skull. I cant wait to get him.
What a blast from the past when you brought out those rubber skeletons. I had bought one of those back in the day. Thanks for the memories Rudy
