Nothing wrong with a dress code, especially when people don't know how to dress themselves.
Most of those women look like streetwalkers.
The rules are there for a reason, if you go to a beach, you dress for a beach, if you dress for a night club you dress for a night club, if you go to a family restaurant you dress for a nice meal with other families surrounding you, that is unless you are a Kardashian.

There is nothing wrong with a dress code, its their establishment, they are in charge of the atmosphere they want. As long as it is the same for all, its definitely appropriate, for the business they want to attract.

Use to go eat/drink at a bar in Vegas where they had a strict dress code policy.
Everyone had to dress formal. Not formal like you're going to church or a wedding. But kinda like you work in an office. If you walked in with shorts and a tank-top while rocking flip-flops. They wouldn't so much as set a table for you. The food and drinks were excellent but the dress code was annoying at times
If you look closely,MOST businesses have a sign that says We Reserve The Right To Refuse Service To ANY Customer. It's their business,and they make the rules! If you don't like it,go somewhere else!
Pro tip: if you have to constantly pull down your shirt in public, it's probably time for a new shirt and one in a bigger size

Cancel culture is killing me. Before the ink dried on their new dress code which I can agree with. They were yelling out racism when the restaurant is black owned and run. When you’re out in public dress accordingly and use common sense oh I forgot that is in short supply.

Just my opinion as it may not be accurate but maybe customers who opposed to the dress code may wrongfully think black business owners and hardworking black people with lots of money is sellout traitors oppressing their own race. It don't have be ballroom looking outfits but at least wear something that isn't revealing.

@Busy Bodies! you don’t have to wait long. Alcohol is very adulterous yet they’re still a family oriented place. Drinks aren’t as strong mixed there but it’s still a bar there with kids involved so a dress code should be enforced. No hookahs aren’t there and I didn’t mention they were but it’s adulterous as much as alcohol. Alcohol may be worse.

There's nothing wrong with dressing properly before you go into a restaurant. Especially if it's advertised as a family restaurant.
People are there to eat and not throw up when someone comes in hardly dressed...a lot of people do not look good with certain parts exposed, like that 80lb a$$ hanging out....take that to the club or better yet keep it own house. Take notes from the beautiful restaurant co/owner....that's how to dress classy and be a real lady. As others said.....their restaurant their rules. Nothing wrong with a family atmosphere....we need more places with family atmospheres.

There is nothing wrong with having standards but the standards need to match the establishment. Resturants that have dress codes usually are in nice areas, have nice decor, soft music, and a menu with a variety of exotic foods of the best quality. Turkey Leg Hut simply doesn't have the elevated ambiance to really make these requirements justified in my opinion, but it is their business.
Good for them! Looking out for the children! And it never hurts to have high standards!

I have a better understanding, of the situation now. At first, I thought they wanted us, to put on 3 pc. Suits...And dresses with panty hose....But some nice slacks , shirt and a decent dress will do.
They didn't even ask for all that. They just said pull your jeans up, don't wear swim wear, pajamas, house slippers, bonnets, durags, shower caps and don't have your tittys and a** hanging out. In other words don't come there looking like a slob or a street walker.

Saw a bumper sticker that said, You want respect, pull up your pants. 3 elderly black ladies got out of the car. All 3 of them held themselves with respect and dignity. Made my day.
I wish more establishments would implement similar dress codes.
