    I have the Hybrid Blue trim that includes the radio control buttons and roller knobs. I'd much rather have those than a larger screen that is touch only. This vehicle is fantastic! Super quiet and smooth ride. The turbo engine plus electric motor gives it excellent acceleration. It gets more fuel efficient each month. I've had it for 2 months and my average MPG has gone from 30 mpg to currently 40 mpg after 2000 miles. I wanted AWD and the price difference between gas AWD and hybrid AWD was small so I went hybrid. Well worth the extra purchase price since gas prices shot up a month after I purchased it! My family of 4 enjoys the USB charging ports for all 4 seats. Everyone can charge their own device on road trips! Not many people mention this but the floor on the trunk can both lift up to reveal extra storage space - or, the floor can be moved down to provide more cargo space. A great family vehicle that looks cool, too. I highly recommend the Hybrid Blue trim.

    We got great news today! We can fly to Albuquerque NM to buy a new car. It’s $11k cheaper than Southern California dealerships. We have to pay sales tax in Ventura county (here) of 8% and registration but it comes out to $11k cheaper than here because the dealer markup applied by California dealerships isn’t applied in New Mexico. 🎉🥳🕺🙌

    Do you think it's possible to buy a spare tire and hide it underneath in the trunk for this model? I don't think a repair kit would be helpful if something actually happens.

    • @MattTheCarguy

      Since the hybrid shares the entire body with the regular gasoline Tucson I believe it is possible, however its always good to check if anything could get in a way, like a battery maybe in Hybrid case.

      Everything that is on the actual sticker is non negotiable, you may however order one if you are not in a rush. These days it may be months before you get it. what grade of gasoline should be using !?

    • @MattTheCarguy
      @MattTheCarguy  2 года назад +1

      Always check what it says on the gas fill cap. As far as I know it needs a minimum of 87 octane. Some people will argue that 91 is best. I have always used 87 in my cars unless premium was recommended by manufacturer, and never had issues.

      The manual says not lower than 87. With my experience on Plugin version, using grade 91 gives you better MPG, i.e. about 10% longer run with the difference in gasoline price about 5%

    • @MattTheCarguy
      @MattTheCarguy  2 года назад

      @@frankchap5653 Conveniently? Why? I don't sell them or get commission from a dealer. Lots of manufacturers chose not to include spare tire for weight and cost savings. I personally would prefer to have one but apparently surveys were done and people who have flat tire either tow it to the repair shop or use a roadside service to do service. Most wouldn't even know if the spare tire was there. And most vehicles that have it, it's a donut that can hopefully help you limp to the service department and get a new tire. Unless it is a full size spare, its pretty much useless. And now with the constant mpg battle every pound counts. The less is weights the better gas mileage.
