Great coverage of saturation and its applications. Appreciated the multiband saturation trick with solid eq. Thanks Sam!

It wasn't until a week ago that I was able to install and use Neutron Elements 4 and out of interest and for learning I loaded a few of my older projects that I composed and released with Logic 9 still. I loaded them into the stereo sum and played around and - _OH MAN_ - it was as if the entire track had just been awakened from a 1.5 decade slumber! A whole new world of sound and experimenting, NE 4 are going to bring my mixes to life as if they had been dormant prior! Soooo good!

always love NI's videos on FX plugins. They keep reminding about their plugins.
On "what can be better" side - I'd like to see more out-of-the-box examples along standard application.

I tend to gravitate towards the warmer sounds of even order harmonics, which used to be provided by tubes in analog gear, but I'm not averse to a bit of tape sat. I'm really not keen on harsh guitar amp distortion or crazy stuff like ring modulation or bit crushing. My ears prefer music to stay in tune! Fortunately, there is a whole lot of choice in this regard, with more saturation plugins arriving daily, it seems.

Saturation in the box sound different in comparison with analog gear saturation. Just will try to overdrive channel in the box and overdrive channel in the mix console and you hewr clear difference. Thats why we can't recreate analod processed sound in the box. And its sadly))) But NI can become game changer, just create sound libraries already processed with analog gear. For example Splice loops already has analog gear processing, and its sonds amazing.

You're obviously quite knowledgeable. I prefer to work with one FX/synth and get to know it well, rather than having lots of different plugins..all plugins in this video do the same as a decent distortion or compressor.

To me, it’s all about having different tools in my toolbox, different colours on my pallet. The bit crusher in BITE is a totally different sound to the pumping compressor in Supercharger GT, and neither sound anything like FREAK.
Totally appreciate what you have said about fully learning one tool though; you’ve got to put in the hours to fully master a tool 👌

@@SamLoose I'd like to talk more about this. I'm not bagging on NI or any other company. People love plugins.

I am not very fan the way iZotope do tutorial to much fix image on the person!, here with Sam, same as for Diana who is beautiful but we see very very to much Diana!, she lovely and beautiful for sure, as same for Sam but the focus is the plugin and tutorials, as Boris of NI, or NI in general it’s keep you very focus on the “tutorial” learning mode! What Boris is doing is the best, as Jeff gibbons or Red mean! Red(Simon) of Ni France , They very pro of the tutorial

I got a ton of topes at an insane bargain but a player that was included had such atrocious sounds that the image or thought of isotopes makes feel like hurling. Hope I’m not missing out!
