Crack Green Beans
4 cans green beans
6 slices bacon
1/4 cup melted butter
2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup brown sugar (to reduce sugar more use 1/4 cup)
Instructions
Drain green beans and place in a 9x13 baking dish. Cook bacon until crisp then crumble. Sprinkle crumbled bacon over green beans. In a small bowl combine butter, soy sauce, garlic powder, and brown sugar. Pour mixture over green beans and stir until green beans are completely coated. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.

This is a great recipe...been using it for years. We call them Arkansas Green Beans. Always serve them for holiday meals and we can't even look t the old Green Bean Casserole recipe. This one is so much better.

I would think you could use fresh you might need to bake them longer and maybe cover them so they will steam some.
