Scheff, Champlin and Foster defined Chicago’s 80’s sound.

As a kid of the 80’s, I grew up loving Chicago 16 and 17. But 18 made me a mega fan and Jason Scheff is the reason. Will You Still Love me is still one of my favorite songs of all time.

Great story about how Jason got into Chicago. Talk about timing, it's all about timing and talent of course. Good thing he was writing and singing, he did the work and then it was destiny.

What a story and absolutely love how they immediately heard that voice and said this is the guy. Heart Of Mine is an absolute gem has always been on of my favorites. If anyone has ever been through a breakup the lyrics will hit you deep. This is the stuff that doesn’t even happen in dreams and it couldn’t of happened to a nicer guy. Can’t wait to hear more John

To replace an iconic member who was so beloved by all the fans is no easy task and Jason scheff took that challenge and made it all his own and paired well with bill Champlin as well

He's an amazingly strong man, to be brought Into to replace the irreplaceable
PC and lead chicago with bill champlin into a new era of success and now getting the chance to show who he is..
    RESPECT XXXXXX

Nothin's Gonna stop us now is one of my favorites from 18. Definitely had potential to be a top 40 hit. Will You Still Love Me and If She Would've Been Faithful made Jason an instant success.

Enjoying these conversations. I saw Jason with Chicago and he was great, both as a vocalist and bassist. Love that he’s such a humble authentic guy even after all his success. Rock On. (Loved the Generation Radio vibe too)

Chicago has always been a favorite band of mine and when Jason Scheff joined I liked them even more. Niagara Falls is my favorite song.

I was fortunate to see them on the Chicago 18 tour. My wife commented after the show, "these guys sound better live than they do on the album"!

Great interview John. I ve always enjoyed the back stories that go with musicians and how they find themselves hooking up with other musicians and eventually making it into bands.

Very informative and interesting video. I love the ins and outs of the industry and how sometimes things get in motion and build up their own momentum. SOunds like Jason was in one of those situations. His talent was apparent to everyone, even more than it was to Jason himself! Good story!

I love the original Chicago line up as most do but Jason really did an awesome job and he had huge shoes to fill. They never really even came close at all replacing Terry who would be almost impossible to come close. I love your channel and the pictures of artist is cool but everytime I see Mark Chapman's picture it makes me I'll. So it wouldn't hurt my feelings if you removed that one. But it's just my opinion and it's your channel. Thanks for all you do. 👍🏼😎

Well Bill Champlain was in rehab at the time and his wife Tamara must of heard Jason's demo and told the band to go and talk to him and set up an audition.

I thought Jason Scheff had a much superior voice then Peter Cetera. Peters was just too whiny sounding for my liking.
