I’m so happy you do these. I do a lot of beta testing on classes I know but impossible for me to test all classes and a great gauge for when things go live
every beta pass for the past decade warlocks dominate and then last second get nerfed to absolute dogshit for the first live patch

Warlock was indeed quite shit for DF release, however!
Affliction was top3 dps in Nathria and best Ranged DPS in Uldir in BFA

Don't worry, Warlocks are master gaslighters, they'll get nerfed, forgotten for 2 and a half months and then mysteriously buffed during Heroic week

That with the shadowbolt doing so much dmg could be the Tier- set 50% more shadowbolt dmg XD
Warlock Demonology 11.0 Class Set 2pc - Your primary demon deals 5% increased damage, and your Shadow Bolt damage is increased by 50%.
It's also because of the new Rune of Shadows: Reduces the cast time of Shadow Bolt by 25% and increases its damage by 40%
We all know what blizzard does to people that fly to close to the top of the dps meter. Besides mage.
I don't know, we know Blizzard has been a proud parent of their golden child, Mage, for years but I think Warlock might as well be an illegitimate child they still take care of...

Never forget Blizzard giving Destruction warlock a 5% aura buff the first week of season 3 of Shadowlands.
But true, they have, at least, been a bit more vigilant about warlocks this expansion though, at least.

IMO remove malefic rapture and put the damage back into the dots. Also 3 dots will do just increase their damage rather than giving locks 5 dots to manage. Make shadowbolts actually fucking pump so when you get an instant proc it’s feels good rather than just insignificant damage. Also bring back fel lance instant cast to allow you to refresh the duration of UA and give some instant cast damage on the move.

Doom is insane as well. You can use it to insta kill critters and summon doom guards. I'm mostly doing solo content and amount of doom guards I have following me is comical

I hope they adjust Soul harvester to make it more AOE viable for locks, the recent nerf to its damage has basically just made it redundant against Hellcaller.
Nerfs are definitely coming, just hope they don't over do it
I guess since Hellcaller feels tailor made for Affli and Diabolist for Demo, SH is kind of in the middle of both
But yeah too much shadowbolt/nightfall synergy which doesn't do too much in aoe

Shadowbolt hitting almost as hard as a Chaos Bolt is kind of dumb.
Affliction has multiple issues with how they designed Hellcaller including, for some unknown reason, they made Wither the same base damage across Destro and Aff. That means it is based on Immolate’s base damage rather than Corruption’s base damage which is already much higher in damage than it should be. Then it gets amplified by their mastery.
Currently Hellcaller Warlock is still bugged for Overfiend. For whatever reason they get free procs of Overfiend if they are Hellcaller Destro. Those free procs don’t take away from the stacks you already have so Hellcaller Destro procs Overfiend twice as much as they should. Blizzard knows about this and it will be fixed.
Wither doesn’t actually deal a lot of damage by itself. Other than multidotting which is problematic for Aff, Wither isn’t that strong compared to the better Hero Talents.

@@Izenhart we all know shaman dps will be dead in m+, in raids enh will have 1 spot for windfury regardless of its dps prolly. ele is hands down the worst ranged dps spec now not only from numbers and gameloop wise. hopium!
@@Izenhart Before Elemental gets a rework there will be at least another 5 reworks for shadow, 7 for retri and 23816268 buffs for mages...

Lock can be good as blizzard wants (it’s one of their love childs) but for the sake of everyone’s good time do not make demo the best spec.
I legit have more respect for tanks in pvp than a spec based around standing in one spot, do nothing, and letting NPCs carry you offensively

Wrong MM Hunter is the best, literally multi shot rapid shot 2mm dps, 1.5mm sustained on 4 targets it’s wild
There will be a ton of balance tuning and warlock will return to the mediocrity it saw throughout most of Dragonflight.
Mediocrity? Lock has been bis in full aoe with destro and in st with demo all exp lol, in fact lock has had at least 1 top performing spec at least every exp and the utility/survivability is crazy, you'll never have a problem getting in pugs...

@@dariominiello9934 Since they gutted the Demo ST build at the start of S3 there wasn't a single fight where Warlock was a top performer in ST situations.
@@dariominiello9934I think you’re still living in Shadowlands. Aside from season 2, warlock has been mediocre in mythic raid. Check the data on Warcraft logs. This doesn’t mean they’ve been bad. Mediocre means middle.
@@krayt5875 i checked and it's true, looks like they got rekt in last patch lol, still destro is bis in aoe though it doest fit the "god comp" rn, but you see locks in almost all bosses top 100 in mythic raids, as almost every fight is cleave, a lot of bosses also have locks in top 10 or even r1. Let's be real, with that much, portal, healthstone, the crazy defensives, you cannot go wrong with lock in any expansion. Locks are mandatory.
Listen, they better not nerf this damn thing, for PVP i can understand to a point but for gods sake im tired of getting tuned into being too weak at the start and by end game it ends up being "average" in 2 specs and 1 spec finallys hits "okay yeah its good", for gods sake can we be the busted for most the expansion class this time? xD
The fact any of these hero talents are going to be in pvp is MIND BLOWING to me. won't be fun anymore having to track someone's CD from their gravespire robotlord spec tree. Way too overcomplicated, balancing will be impossible for them
@grantx6 yeah but when pvp gets crazy in a wierd way that's also when it's the most fun and memorable times, as long as it just isn't one spec/class dominating everybody
maybe not attack a legacy test dummy to showcase dps also dmg right not means nothing as tuning has not been tuned yet so numbers right now are irrelevant do not make decisions based off of numbers right test the playstyle of the spec. 1 more thing you had the st build doing aoe for destro
raid testing means nothing, the game is mostly about m+
Until they get rid of rapture for affliction i will not play warlock. Its a terrible ability and fights with the spec do much that they keep adding instant cast procs to it as a bandaid fix.

Eveyone needs to stop worrying about numbers and worry about how the spec/hero talents plays. Currently rogue,warrior, and maybe dh Imo feels kinda bad to play. Their hero talents dont feel impactdul. All other specs feel pretty good. If you are playing beta voice your opinion on the forums with CONSTRUCTIVE feedback tell them why it feels bad and how to fix it. Its crazy that everyone is just ZOMG THIS SPEC IS OP. Do you ever wonder why? Those who voice their feedback in the correct way get heard.

Dude mage is only good on retail right now with elite Aug and spriest players, go pug some 12-15s and fire come back to us all before you act like mage is some good class, you will do 400k overall if your lucky, spriest for example will do 650k, ret will do 650k, Sin rogue will do 650k, fire mage is fucking trash right now
@@waxoncrypto9524nobody cares about low keys. Fire mage and spriest are breaking the game since s2 dragonflight. And it needs to get fixed. Fire mage is currently the most broken spec on beta. Only unholy dks and ww monks keep up with it.

Im pretty sure Warlock is also considered the least mobile dps in the game atm. If they get 0 mechanics and able to stand in 1 spot, hopefully they manage to do good dmg.
