this one REALLY stands up. no small task. esp when compared to the spector produced original. it has that epic quality that's stunning. this one's difficult to play, too. harrison wrote it on organ whereas he usually wrote on guitar. the chord structure is really odd.
@@michavandam No, the original version of Try Some Buy Some was recorded and released in 1971 by Ronnie Spector, with Phil Spector and George Harrison producing. Then two years later George took the same musical backing track of Ronnie's version and overdubbed his vocals onto that. So, basically, also George's version is ghost-co-produced by Spector

George Harrison produced his original himself. It was his previous record, All Things Must Pass, that was produced by Phil Spector.

Oh oh oh oh
You post really good quality music. I'm surprised these don't have more views.
maybe because its just him stealing other peoples music and posting it for free
He's doing a service to get the music out.
Super
This is a Phil/Ronnie Spector song. Bowie featured it on one of his radio DJ sets in '79.
+Sage Davis actually it's a George Harrison song.
George Harrison Song.
@ Orignally released by Ronnie Spector, though
Chingon!
Can’t believe there are so many stupid comments about this fabulous George Harrison song...Bowie cocaine come on baby. You ain’t got a clue.
[Verse 1]
Way back in time
Someone said try some
I tried some
Now buy some, I bought some[?]
Oh oh oh
After a while
When I had tried them, denied them
I opened my eyes and I saw you[?]
Not a thing did I have
Not a thing did I see
Untill I called on your love
And your love came to me
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh ohhh
[Verse 2]
Through my life
I've seen grey sky, met big fry
Seen them die to get high[?]
Ohhh
And when it seemed that I would only be lonely
I opened my eyes and I saw you
Not a thing did I feel
Not a thing did I know
Untill I called on your love
And your love sure did grow
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh ohhh
[Outro]
Won't you try some
Baby won't you buy some
Won't you try some
Baby won't you buy some
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh ohhh
why did the song name change?
Bowie makes a good effort but the original is 100 times better and Harrison’s vocal is indescribably brilliant
No, the David Bowie cover is better
No, Ronnie Spector is the better of the three
Is this song secretly about Bowies cocaine addiction?
Razor Candies go back to school
