CyborgMonkey Oh ya I totally forgot that was a big deal during the January event in 2017, I can't believe that idea was ever implemented, but I'm sure we'll be saying that in 5 years about Nintendo's current awful online and voice chat systems
Happy Nintendo has found success again with the Switch after WiiU failed. So many great games in it and hopefully they can keep the momentum going in 2020 and beyond. Btw great collections☺️
I really do like how the Switch is region free. When I found out that the Ace Attorney Trilogy wasn't coming to the West in physical form, but had English language options, I just picked up the Japanese version and was surprised that the menu icon on the home screen uses the English version!
Impressive collection for sure! Going to film my own soon too. but yeah no way would I ever collect all switch games. However I did want to collect all steel books for switch but Bayonetta climax edition is holding me back
Great collection! I always like seeing other people's collections. A few games I didn't see that you should check out (unless I missed them of course) are Little Dragons Cafe which is kinda sorta like harvest moon, it's actually made by the creator of harvest moon and Lost Sphear if enjoyed I am Setsuna it's pretty much like its spiritual successor.
23:00 weeeeell, that's not true, most Nintendo consoles had two "fresh" Zelda games. NES, N64, Wii, GBC, DS and 3DS had two, GC had three. Only SNES, WiiU, GB and GBA had one. Having two Zeldas per system is a norm and an awesome norm it is! Anyways, great collection
You're mostly right. I guess I wasn't really counting GC Four Swords and 3DS Triforce Heroes as mainline games, but spinoffs. I also wouldn't count Twilight Princess as a unique on both GC and Wii. Of course this opens up a debate whether Breath of the Wild should be counted as the unique for the Switch or the Wii U. :) So leaving out the multiplayer games and allocating TP to the Wii and BotW to the Wii U, I'd say 5 consoles (NES, N64, Wii, GBC, DS) had two and 6 consoles (SNES, GC, Wii U, GB, GBA, 3DS) had one. :D
@@finngamer yeah, I guess that's one way to look at it :D I would allocate TP/BotW to both GC/Wii and WiiU/NS as none of these two games can be considered specific to one platform as both games were new, not a port or remake, a criteria you bring in the video. I guess we can leave spinoffs out of consideration, agree on that.
@@finngamer 1-2 Switch, Bloodstained, Collection of Mana, Dark Souls (old game + bad port). Harvest moon, Has been heroes, Sine Mora, SNK Heroines, Toki Tori, The World Ends with You, etcs. :)))

Yeah, although I was worried they'd be homebrew/unlicensed like their Dreamcast and SNES games. But they said that there should be a Nintendo Seal of Quality and everything. :)
Just a little a feedback from my side: Although I like your collection videos the most, I would prefer to hear you talk about actually collecting them rather than your general opinion about a game. For example I don't really need a 5 Minute talk about how good Breath of the wild is, we all know that. So if you do a video like this, maybe focus more on the actual value of games or your collection, what you intend to buy next or look forward to get, price and rarity developments, how you display them - just collectors stuff. I know you are as much a gamer as a collector, but I think a general opinion or review of a game is more common on youtube than your knowledge as collector
Eh, not too much to talk about collecting wise when it comes to a modern console like this. Though I do talk about the importing aspect here. But suggestion noted, I'll try to spice things up maybe in the next retro console collection!
Hey finngamer, big fan from Uruguay here. As a collector myself i decided to improve my 3DS collection and PS4 (with some exceptions) due to the fact that the switch is a console that is not prepared to the current game development style... some examples are day 1 patches, games requring a big update to run online for example, or collections with some games as download only.. I also as a collector like to get the most out of my money.. so its hard to see a port for 60USD/EUR.. or even brand new games that were 40 at launch on the 3DS most RPGs or Pokemon, that now are 60 when there is no visible improvement at all.. what do you think as a collector about these issues?
Honestly, not too worried about these. Nintendo games hold their value well, so if you buy something for more, it's worth more as well. :) But this is just a temporary thing, they've soon ported everything they can port from the Wii U, after that it's new games all the way. Or significant remasters instead of straight ports. Every console has day 1 patches, and Switch is fine with those. Or what do you mean by that?
@@finngamer thank you for answer me! made my day, long time fan as i said! What I meant is in the long run..for some games day 1 patches are for online or minor fixes that does not affect playing the game.. but for others it does, and considering that nintendo doesnt have a good track record of keeping their online alive i get worried that in 10 years from now, a switch collection might be 25% unplayable.. im collecting hard for the 3ds and one of the reasons i love it is how straightforward games are in that sense...

Define "not successful"? It's Nintendo's best selling home console behind the NES (#2) and Wii (#1). Meaning it not only surpassed the Wii U and GameCube (which doesn't come as a surprise given the number of units they sold) but also the SNES and N64.
I believe it's approaching 50 million in total units sold. Which has surpassed Xbox One. Whether you like it or not the system is a success financially and a success for nintendo's 1st party games but also for 3rd party games as well. To me it's not a surprise as Nintendo has owned the Handheld Market for over 30 years. This hybrid console has combined both the markets they were in and it's easy for indie devs to make games for 1 platform instead of 2. IE" No 3DS and Wii U to make a game for just make it for the switch.
It just makes sense, Nintendo gave us Wii U owners so many great games, it would be a shame that no one else could experience them. How would it make you happier, if they kept them all exclusive to the Wii U?
I actually had no idea that the switch was region free. That's insane !
Go get 'em!
