  • My 1971 Chevy Nova is a pretty awesome runner, but the external fuel pump was kind of pretty loud and annoying. In this video, I install a new TANKS INC. EFI tank and one of their IN TANK pumps which is rated at 450 lph.
I thought this would be a really expensive project, but it wasn't bad at all. The tank was about $300 and the pump around the same. It helped that I already had a good fuel system to work with - PTFE 8 AN fuel hose and AN fittings.
I ordered everything through SK SPEED in Lindenhurst, NY. And yes, THEY DO SHIPPING!

I’m absolutely in love with your car, it’s exactly what I would have done, and the mods you are doing are making it so much better! Great job and I’m interested in what you decide to do next!

Sounds way better! That other pump would have driven me nuts and I’m deaf!

Living in the US and buying parts in your Country is cheaper than me living in Ontario Canada when our dollar is worth .71 cents to your $1.00. Plus we would get charged import fees and duty and other fees they can screw us over with to discourage us from spending outside of Canada. So much for free trade. All that adds up. I love the 68-72 Nova’s. There were plenty of them out during my street racing days in the early 70’s including L78 Nova’s. I myself owned a 1968 Z/28 that I purchased for $3,000. A friend of mine is the current owner, british green with white stripes. I still own my 70 Z/28 4 spd that I purchased from the original owner back in 1981.
When I took my tank out I used a block of wood and my floor jack. Keep the videos coming.😊

I really like the first and second gen F bodies. One day I’ll get one hopefully!

I have a Tanks Inc tank in my 5.3 swapped 67 Chevelle. Well worth the money. Keep an eye on the chinese knockoff “Walbro” pump it is shipped with. Mine lasted 6 months before it took a dump. Ended up using a Delphi pump for a 96 truck with 350. No issues for years now.
