The key to this is patience. And also really smart to use a thin stroke so as to be able to see what too see when tracing but then convert to a fill at the end, eliminating the stroke. 🙏👍
It's obviously amazing and I will add it to my favs :)
One thing to note, it's not a tutorial but rather just a timelapse of speedart
as for someone who has minimal knowledge of illustrator and its tools, I know tutorials are usually made for speaking and explanations

A couple of things...
I used to think I was fairly good using the pen tool but once you starting working on the hoodie my brain started hurting...
and then.... my wrist hurts by just looking at you use that pen tool!

@@MohamedMaqour bro see, after 5:57 he started creating paths for shadows(darker color of image) then later in video he created paths for highlight(lighter color of image).

Even though it wasn't exactly a tutorial, I still got some tips from this. I would like the shortcut keys you use though >_> cuz there's definitely some shortcuts done to quicken some processes here and there.

Some tutorials teach you how to use basic tools, others (like this one) teach you how to capture light and see colours.. nothing fancy there he's only using pen tool.. but honestly, if you can't control artboard, layers, colour swatches..etc, this would be beyond you anyway

If you really know how to use your illustrator tools very well then you can easily know what he's doing with what tool. It's easy if you know how to draw already and understand illustrator. for those that think this is a beginners tutorial it's not. I find this video helpful only because I know how to use illustrator and I'm already good at drawing.
I hoped to see a tutorial... not a speedart process... the final result is amazing but I'd like to see what kind of traces to look for and then be able to recreate the process in any other image

Honestly you can and it’s kinda easy, just time consuming. The pen tool was used and it’s really helpful and handy for those who use references. Just take time using the pen tool to get used to how it works and flows.
