1:04 I put my peace lily in my neo tanks. It's fine, my neos are still breeding and I haven't had any problem. I've set the tank up for a couple of months now and it's still going good.
@@MarksShrimpTanks interesting, it says that the sap might be toxic. I'll definitely look into it further and for the worst case, I'll take my submerged Lily. I guess no sap was leaked for months now in my tank and that's why my shrimps are doing great.
Thank you for sharing all your shrimp knowledge. We just started caring for shrimp about a month or two ago and your videos have really helped. Wish my moss grew like yours. We seem to do better with floating plants.
great tips and beautiful shrimp. I've been struggling with the too much moss in my tanks, the 25% that you've mention is a great gola to go for in my breeding setups, thanks for this video
Hello Grant, its interesting you ask because I did test this last week nearly all of my caridina tanks are between 270 and 300 uS conductivity, my target was 300uS ive not seen a single death in all that time and my shrimp are breeding like crazy.
Might sound a silly question but do caridina shrimp moult the same as neo caridina shrimp? I find it's not something really spoken about with caridina.
Yes they do, when they are under two weeks old they can molt almost every day, this slows down when they get to near adult size and then they molt just once a month.
@MarksShrimpTanks did you use Amazonia ver. Powder? Here in my country i only found Amazonia powder and amazonia ver. 2, what can be fine to bread high grade caridina shrimp?
Mark, how do you feed the pleco/fish without overfeeding the shrimp? My tank (30G) has a few cory catfish, but I'm not sure how to make sure they get enough without over feeding my shrimp.
How did the galaxy fishbone and german pinto go about 2 years ago im trying to get boa from galaxy fishbone and german pintos deos it work to get boa😊?
You can see them at 14:59 in the video , i stopped selecting them about a year ago a desided I like them the way they were, saying that at the timestamp I gave you if you freeze the video and look at the shrimp middle left its probably the closest I got to a self made boa, it had half a cape but just some face spots if the face spots had been much bigger it would have been a boa.
Question: Is it ok to add cutle fish bone to my shrimp tank? I figure it’s a natural way to add calcium to the water. I will boil it first. What do you think Mark? I do add liquid calcium and shrimp minerals already, keeping my TDS around 250. My shrimp are breeding like crazy, so I must be doing things right already.
As always Mark, thank you for sharing your work with us and updating the progress, it’s extremely interesting and relaxing seeing these.
My pleasure!
Mark is the shrimp king.

Well I had to goggle it and its listed as toxic for pets on many websites so I wouldnt be putting it in my shrimp tanks :D

Its the active soil I use, it really makes it grow.. on inert substrates like gravel and sand its a hit and a miss for me.
Beautiful shrimp😍
Thank you 😋
Time to convince the spouse of an r/o unit XD very nice shrimpies very inspiring!
Greetings from sunny Croatia. Cheers Mark
Hello there!

Hi Mark how are the no water changes going for caridina? No deaths? Breeding? How is your tds is it rising?

@MarksShrimpTanks that's great. Good to know that tds isn't increasing to much. Do you think adding leaves is compulsory for caridina?
Mornin Mark day late seeing this work schedule is pants! Another guid yin all love from home 💙🏴💙🏴
Hi Mark, what substrate are you using currently?
Right now I am testing tropica plant soil and it seems good enough.
What ec and tds do you run the caradina. I’m going to get into caradina.
all my Tanks are over 150uS OR 150tds and Ive not done a water change in what 7 months.
Ok thanks Mark appreciate it.

Hello what is the best sustrate to bread caridina? And can i use Amazonia Powder for breeding high grade caridina?
Amazonia while you can get it
@MarksShrimpTanks did you use Amazonia ver. Powder? Here in my country i only found Amazonia powder and amazonia ver. 2, what can be fine to bread high grade caridina shrimp?
both are good
What are your thoughts on having scuds living with our shrimp? The scuds came in on the plants.
Net them out if you can because they will eat shrimp.
@@MarksShrimpTanks baby shrimp or adult ones? I started trapping them yesterday and moving them to a fish tank.
How do I buy your book in UK 🏴
I can see it here on amazon uk www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DFCGP13M

I feed my fish every day, in neo tanks feeding is different to caridina tanks, just go by the 2 hout rule when you have fish in the tank.
@@MarksShrimpTanks Thank you! Everything is gone quickly. I have too many ramshorn snails 😬

If they are breeding like crazy I wouldnt change anything.
peace lilly is fine in community tanks with shrimp
How wonderful to hear your enthusiasm again, to this day I am happy that I was able to give you these beautiful groups 🫶💞💋
I am forever gratfule!!♥♥
