      A lighter complexion isn't better than a dark. So no she doesn't look "better" she just always looked beautiful

    These lightening lips comments kind of sadden me. People with darker skin are born with darker lips. It's natural and normal but sadly the media has told us that that is not attractive. Why do we call dark lips pigmented but we don't call light lips drained? lol IDK just a thought. When I see someone with dark lips, I just think it's beautiful and it suits them and is what I would expect to see.

      I agree with what you're saying, but I think for some they want to remove the discoloration on their lips.. When you wear lip liner and other lip products they can tend to cause discoloration in certain areas. Also, some girls just want to have rosy lips, not necessarily pale or no color.

    • @badlucktay
      @badlucktay 9 лет назад +2

      Okay, well thank you for the perspective. I can definitely understand wanting to correct lips that have an altered color due to lip products. I guess I misunderstood what they meant!

      Ive always had dark lips even without using products. But yes products might be making it worse. I kind of understand both of ur view points. I believe in having a healthy body image but i also feel like the dark lips are unattractive, I probably should just be confident. My friends ask me.. “do u smoke?” Sewing my dark lips( my lips r darker than my other Indian friends)

    I start oiling my hair overnight because of u. I only use fenugreek seed oil and coconut oil because those two are the easiest hair oils I can find here in Bali. I notice that my hair is more shiny, its thicker and smoother, my scalp is not so itchy anymore--which help me so much cause I wear hijab. Thank u farah. Much love

  • @priyapatel-fl2vk
    @priyapatel-fl2vk 9 лет назад +38

    Never put oil in dirty hair, your hair won't soak up the goodness as it would if it was fresh!! Why, because the sebaceous glands on your scalp are already filled and clogged with oils from dirt and sweat!! So therefore hair oil will not penetrate the scalp area where you need it the most! Remember healthy hair grows from the scalp not the ends!

    I want to make this mix.. can you be more specific with the measurement. . The pumpkin seed oil u said 3 quarters of it.. what is that on a measuring cup or measuring spoon?. I have a measuring cup and the spoons. . Also for the black seed oil and sweet almond oil.. I dont want to mix it wrong.. please get back to me thanks..😊

      What she means is that the pumpkin seed oil will make up the vast majority of the entire mixture. So just make sure you mix in more pumpkin seed oil than all the rest of the ingredients. No specific measurements are required. :)

    • @smRRmn
      @smRRmn 9 лет назад +3

      If you want to use measuring cups, you can use 3/4 cup of pumpkin seed oil, 1/8 cup of kalonji oil, 3 teaspoons of sandalwood essential oil, and 3 teaspoons of rosemary essential oil.
      When Farah said 3/4 she was referring to 3/4 of the container she was using, so you can adjust this to fit whatever container you will be storing it in. Hope that helps :)

    on the rare occasion that i do an oil treatment, i do it on unwashed hair and let it stay overnight. however my sister told me that this doesn't do anything because the hair is dirty and the natural oil in your hair will 'block' the hair oil from being partially/fully absorbed. idk if this is true or not but it does make sense. i dont want to put oil back onto washed hair because that's the whole point of washing it, you know :(

    • @farahdhukai
      @farahdhukai  9 лет назад +1

      honestly i would do it however works for you :) ive put oil in clean hair and dirty hair and i find that it didnt really make a difference on how my hair felt afterwards :) So to save myself an extra wash i just do it on dirty hair xo
