I´m moving to Santa Cruz in two weeks to live with my boyfriend who´s from there :) (I´m from Ireland by the by haha). I´m watching your videos to get myself excited. Loving the videos so thank youuuuuu
Ahhh that's great!!!!! I'm gald you found my channel and make sure you go to all the places i've made videos on! I really miss it, so let me know how everything goes. And good luck! What an exciting new adventure.
@@ollielevido7407 thank you! I currently live in the US, I’ve been here since 2011. I visit my beloved city every other year, always dreaming about returning to stay permanently. If you go back and we sync I’d love to meet you. Good luck!
Something that foreigners do not know is that in Bolivia, when you ask for something to drink anywhere, you must specify that you want "sugar-free" (sin azúcar) otherwise they will always put sugar in your juice, tea or coffee. This is because the local customer prefers it that way. If you feel like having a coffee in the central square (plaza central - Santa Cruz) from de walking man with his coffe car, you have to clearly order it saying "sin azúcar por favor" (without sugar), then u get what you want.
Hey there! What a great video! I am freezing my butt off down here in uruguay. I love this country, I've lived here for 8 years, but the winners are freezing as hell!! I've been looking for somewhere to spend a few weeks and get away from little Antarctica as I like to call it ..😅
At 9:10 Yes we don’t have beaches in Santa Cruz but we have “aguas calientes “ in Robore a amazing tourism spot with a long natural hot water cristal clear rivers and water falls and activity’s. A very popular spot here in Santa Cruz for the summer weather
I love Aussies, my children grow in Australia, but I miss my country Bolivia, you can imagine how I miss to eat salteñas. Me alegro que te guste Bolivia , tenemos 10 ciudades maravillozas en Bolivia. Tú tienes que ir a la pascana y tomar café con cunapes y pan de arroz, también gelatina de pata, very good and natural collage . Take care.an thank U. But I miss too much the beaches in Australia. And My Mather cautry Bolivia. 👍👍👍👍😘😘❤️❤️🙌🥰🥰
I lived there 67-68 across the street from a university of technical college(?), on the Avenida Central(?). I watched them play futbol a lot. A long time ago so it is fuzzy. We had a 30 foot driveway, a big iron gate(and iron bars on windows) and brick wall in front and back with 7 types of fruit in our yard. The road was still dirt, with mostly ox-carts, and the hexagonal tiles were down the street slowly coming towards us. I remember a circus in Spanish. All around us was poverty. It was the summer home for German ambassador and my Dad was head of Agric. for USARMY. We came down right after Guevarra was captured I think that summer. The school I went to was run by Gulf oil where most Americans worked then. We were among the first to ever visit El Fortero at Samaipata. We went to a sugar factory also. The poisonous toads in my yard when it rained. All the hummingbirds around the hibiscus in front yard. A dead tarantula at the foot of my bed one morning. The vinchucas. and El Dia de la Mono(?)?. The trips to the outward villages for church with missionary friends. But the southern sky at night, was worth it all, seeing the Southern Cross (La Cruz), and the Coal sack every night . Then we moved to Panama for two more years. Back to USA then back to Panama again 72-73.Great times.
I liked your video Ollie! Enjoy my city that I have not lived there much but in other countries and in general the entire Bolivia is so beautiful and the people is so nice! By the way saltenas are from Potosi or La Paz I’m not sure but you eat it all over Bolivia and are delicious and it even is sold in NY and it was in The NY Times as one of the recommended foods.
spanish language is so hard, because every country has different way to name stuff, and different cities have different slang or accent, good job, congratulation

I totally agree!!!! Bolivian Spanish is even different depending on the city!
The weather is moist. It’s like the weather in Miami but without beach.

Hello, are you still living in Santa Cruz right now?
Unfortunately not
Is Santa Cruz, Bolivia your cheapest city you have lived at in South America? I enjoyed your videos! Excellent content.
What kind of visa do you have and how did you get it? Or do you have citizenship?
I was on a work visa :) I don't know exactly because we hired a lawyer to do it all
Salteñas are from La Paz, but there are all over the Cauntry. Thank you dear Aussie.
Salteñas are traditionally a Sunday breakfast food. Now people eat them whenever with coke. I prefer eating them with a banana or peach smoothie
Is anyone from England going to santa cruz anytime soon? My old school friend lives there and would love to send him a barnsley fc shirt over
Where are you now?
