I worked at the bar he frequented in his last years. He may have looked different, But he was the same humble good dude on the inside. Despite any issues.
I wonder why he aged 50 years in 10. He is responsible for one of the most beautiful birthdays a guy could ask for. I sang with him on stage and it was one of the most memorable days of my life. Rest easy friend, you were an exception to every rule and the world is at a loss without you.
Hey cool!! When this first aired Brent's guitar wasn't in the mix for some reason.. I took some heat over this cuz I mixed the song and was SNFU's sound guy for many o tours.. Thanks for uploading this gem!!
Chi You fucking god, you were, are and always will be better than Eddie Vedder, I know you loved him lol, I had so much fun playing with you and Laura when you gave us your toy boxer with the Eddie Vedder mask it was an absolute honour to MC that gig to introduce SNFU in front of a thousand people to much damn fun rest now my friend
The total opposite of nervous. She elicits a relaxed and natural conversation from the band (a very rare thing in band interviews). There are awkward pauses, sure, but there's also a lot of interesting things being said. She miscalled a song title? Oh well.
Man, it's creepy how Chi is completely checked out for the entire interview. Given the venue, was that just normal for him, or was he already starting to "check out" in a more general sense by this point?
AquaCentauri no not really at all. Clearly nervous but this was over 20 years ago pretty sure she doesn't wake up and think about the time she fumbled an SNFU interview a bit
Fuck. Meth. That shit is the Worst of bad news "drug of choice." Ruined more lives and brains than any other drug I've had the misfortune of being around users of. Evil fucking shit indeed.
One of the greatest punk bands of all time.
His voice is way out of key with the music though. No two ways around that.
@@zigzzagz5732 philistine
@@zigzzagz5732I see you just discovered punk rock. Maybe check out Dead Kennedys, see if you can hack Jello Biafra.
@@zigzzagz5732 Sounds in key to me. Tidy wee back-up harmonies too.
Chi Pig looks so handsome here. He aged so quickly after the 90s, it’s kind of nuts to look back at an interview like this
Meth is a heel of a drug. He really went down hill after the meth became a dominant force in his life.
This snfu lineup were all handsome
He's the best
@@vicjay1972 A major head injury combined with alcohol and meth abuse aged him quickly.

Mental health issues, drugs and homelessness all took their toll. They were never as successful as they should have been
I hadn’t heard this until today. I bawled to myself. SNFU played such a pivotal role in my life. Bless Mr Chi Pig.
they sound so gud here, and these comments are gonna make me cry, i saw them once, RIP Chi
I had a few beers with this dude in Saskatoon. Really nice guy.
God, what an era. SNFU my favs.
RIP Chi. Best front man ever.

Very Cool
I miss that time
The good ole' days!
It really doesn't seem like that long ago. This was around the time I met Chi. Sad news this week.
Thanks for uploading this!
I walked by this guy outside of pub 340 for YEARS, no clue who he was. wow
Wow, I forgot how gorgeous Sook Yin was
Fox Squared
Mr Selection the only reason i watched MTV...
@@hugodoucet2872 oh no. Rachel Perry, Juliut Powell and that one black girl with the Japanese name. So many hunnies on Much Music
I was all about Amanda Walsh.
@@David_Downs oh yeah, forgot about her too!!
that drummer is sick to say the least...and Chi was impecable in tuning (RIP my dear friend)
Brickwall Backdrop
damn chi looks actually lucid. RIP CHI
They all sound great but that drum sound is just spectacular.
the lineup here is Chi, Brent, Marc, Rob "Starbuck" Johnson, and Dave Rees on Drums.
All of their different incantations have been awesome, but I feel this was the best line-up in my opinion!
Chi Pig may be the best frontman to live ever
...one of them, for sure.
Sook-Yin Lee is cute, Chi, is unrecognizable. I forget what he looked like back then.
She's pretty but she really didn't like a lot of the guests. I get it bc musicians are weirdos. Lol
@@RobertoReyesChHC I remember, she's a born and raised Vancouverite, so she's going to be pretty smug and sanctimonious.

Best Band Ever Made.
great song by a great band!
great band and underated 90's albums
The high tide mark of my generation. Damn.
Also I fucking love those pants.
Lowest hanging bass ever. RIP Chi ❤️
Nice name check for Brand New Unit - a fine example of Canadian punk.
Filmed with a toaster but still nice
This is cool!
Best punk ever

Chi was on Off the Record? WTF? lol That sounds awesome.
Great video. Which line up is this? Brent, Marc, Jon Card?? who?
That is not Jon Card, that was Dave Rees on drums, Rob Johnson is on bass.
wow... sad to see him so healthy and then at then at the end if his days, no teeth...
Does anybody know the title of the song right at the beginnig of the video, which lasts from 00:00 - 00:07?
Doughboys - Shine
Wow thanks for the fast reply!
RIP Chi
where they from
Edmonton
She's beautiful!!!
Ofcourse, I love SNFU
Gay
Wow ! Chi Doesn't look like total death.
The lowest hanging bass i ever did see.
Kinda reminds me off Krist from nirvana he was also a really low slapper
Looks stupid. The first two snafu bassists were light years better.
Chi's got Kool Keith Black Elvis hair here!
sex styles!!!
Sook Yin Lee was horrible at interviewing.
How am I wrong? She is nervous the whole time and doesn't even call "You make me thick" by the right name.
she is totally natural, just because conversation doesn't flow perfectly does not mean someone is nervous..
AquaCentauri no not really at all. Clearly nervous but this was over 20 years ago pretty sure she doesn't wake up and think about the time she fumbled an SNFU interview a bit
Wrong
hard to watch after knowing how fucked up Chi is in the present(at least he s still alive) but of course we all decay....hey hey
you're saying you're looking for somebody cuter
@109508849409399455424
kind of.....somebody fresher to be more exact.... :( ;)
