I grew up near Buckeye in the 50's and 60's. Got my first pair of real cowboy boots when I was 4 years old at the general store that was at the center of town back then. That's all there was there back in the day, and desert. It was a stop between Gila Bend and Phoenix. The general store had cowboy shirts and Levis stacked up on tables in one area, food in another, with Winchester Rifles, S&W, and Colt revolvers behind the counter. It was a great place to grow up as a kid. No rules :-) My Dad was the foreman a one of those large corp ranches back then. I should go back and take a look, maybe move back!
We have visited Arizona every summer for the last 7 years and were set on retiring in Estrella. One month ago, on our annual trip, we thought we’d just at least look at Verrado. As soon as we drove down Verrado Way we were sold. It’s so beautiful!! Put our deposit down that very day and will be retiring there as soon as our home is built (mid March). Cannot wait!!
Desert Dweller Deb showed Verrado on her channel. I say, drop me right in there and you'll never see me again! Ahh Jeff, you're killing me! I need to go!
Yay yay yay thank you thank you been wanting this seen it in another persons channel but wanted you to do One too also Goodyear and surprise.... gracias 😃👍
Verrado has been developed extremely well. Another community in Buckeye called Douglas Ranch is supposed to break ground sometime this year. This might sound crazy, but I think it may end up rivaling Scottsdale. It will be like the Scottsdale of the West Valley. - Remember the name Douglas Ranch.
Jeff , thank you for this video; really beautiful and encouraging. How do those eucalyptus and mesquite trees survive the crazy heat y'all are dealing with this summer#?
I’ve lived in Arizona my whole life an in the buckeye area for 6 years now and it so funny that you skip over the new Sundance area 😂.. I have a few girlfriends in the verrado area and let me tell you Richie Rich high class expensive as hell.. it must be nice to have money.! I’m a single father and I live with family it’s only ever gonna be a dream.. sad too say that this reality we live in is so awful an unjustified..
He did skip past a lot of Buckeye to show case Verrado. I've been in Buckeye since 2010 and I've lived south of I10 and north of I10. Its all Buckeye. Watson/Yuma is the current heart beat of the city.
Verrado is nice but it should NEVER tie itself to Buckeye. Buckeye smells of cow manure. It's an insult to Verrado. And I have lived in the valley for 50 years.
Sorry guys this guy is killing all the rest of you all and I think he knows it too and he 😂😂😂seems kinda of snobbish but he is cute and blonde and excellent at what he does and intelligent okay Arizona dream come in now
all those street trees at the 5:30 mark you were talking about are chinese elm. perfect shade tree for our climate if taken care of the first few years
I don't know anything about Chinese Elm trees, so please forgive my ignorance on the topic. But I wonder if those trees grow in the desert region of China. Parts of the Gobi Desert looks more like Death Valley than anything else though.
As a California transplant, my move to Buckeye, AZ was the best decision in my life
How’s the healthcare system?
Arizona is So BEAUTIFUL unlike Crappie Illinois where I live!! Hoping to Move out to Arizona in the coming years, as I LOVE it there!! ❤🏜🌵🌺🌴❤
I'm leaving Illinois for AZ too next spring. Illinois is horrible!
@@mariamathews1862 I left Illinois in 1993 and never looked back! I love it here!
I hear ya! I'm in Chicago now, but we leave the 29th to move to Phoenix.
Been here since 04 and it's not that great.
Same here! As l text, am looking for jobs there. Am from cleveland ohio, i hate it here
I moved from NC to Buckeye when I was 17 and stayed a few years. Met some cool people and had some crazy times.
Shout out to good ole Maricopa!
I relocated to Buckeye from rural western IL a few yrs ago, best thing I've done
Moving here soon so so thankful and grateful

Love them trees! Love that Shade! Yes Verado looks Great! Good video Jeff thank you.
Wow! So cool I came across your channel. My husband and I are moving out there this month! I used to live in Sierra Vista. We're coming from Chicago.

Buckeye and Verrado looks nice, but my preference is up north in the Verde Valley, Prescott, or Flagstaff. It's too dang hot down in the valley.
Nice tour! That place is amazing! Thanks for sharing
Nice place to live lots of trees and green
I love the trees in Verrado. Seems as though they would add lots of shade from the heat.
These videos are so cool from South Mountain.
I never knew it was that nice!
I enjoy living in Arizona ...I never knew Buckeye or verrado looked like this good job on these videos
Buckeye is really nice !
Is verrado/goodyear a safe place? Hows the crime rate? I'm seriously thinking of moving there
My daughter and I are purchasing a home in Verrado. New build. Hopefully in by March 2021. Design Center this Thursday. Can't wait.
Yesterdays high 118. Unbelievable!
And today it's 110
extreme every summer
It's been pretty warm out that for sure. AC is working! If we didn't have AC... Phoenix wouldn't exist.
try 122 when i lived there
I believe it I'm from scottsdale.
Lived in Buckeye 60 years ago sure has changed
Buckeye looks beautiful ! Thx !
I like the walk ability of it.
Wow nice area. Thank you for the tour. Stay safe. Wishing you a super week. Hugs Susan
No work out there. 50 miles west of downtown Phoenix. Retirement area.
Beautiful 🥰
That's my future city! Only community within a reasonable commute to Palo Verde.
Yay yay yay thank you thank you been wanting this seen it in another persons channel but wanted you to do One too also Goodyear and surprise.... gracias 😃👍
I grew up in Buckeye.Az.
Look nice in buckeye

Tartesso, in between Tonopah and Buckeye is on the rise too at the moment,
I'm moving there next month
Nice Job on the Video!
Jeff , thank you for this video; really beautiful and encouraging. How do those eucalyptus and mesquite trees survive the crazy heat y'all are dealing with this summer#?
Well they survive with unlimited amounts of water. But what happens when the water runs out?
@@johnfowler9253 do you know what the water situation is in Buckeye?
What will they do when the water runs out.
Told you buckeye was beautiful hehe 😉
Looking for homes for rent in buckeye and ideas where I can get help
Hey!! from Sweden
Reminds me of anthem
Upscale area vs. south of the 10 fwy. I live in the Agriculture area Far West,
Which grocery store chain is building there?
Verado looks a lot like Brea Ca. Nice downtown area
Better weather in Brea though. Much better. lol
It looked desolate at first until you got to Verrado. I was surprised to see so much greenery. It reminds me of neighborhoods here in PA.
My school was on the left at 4:02
I'm glad I didn't move out there. If I wanted all those trees and grass, I would have moved to Wisconsin.
I live in buckeye and I promise you it's not all like this.. verrado is a little separate town almost..it's the Rich area of buckeye..
Names of the new development being built by verrado
buckeye arizona, the best thing to come out of ohio
Lol
Now watch the population of Verado skyrocket...
Why is it called "White Tank Mountain"?
Verrado reminds me of Irvine, CA.
High property taxes in Buckeye
How much are we talking?

It's boggles my mind why Farmers are farming in the desert.
It blows my mind why all the houses are going in with limited amounts of water.
Verrado is nice but it should NEVER tie itself to Buckeye. Buckeye smells of cow manure. It's an insult to Verrado. And I have lived in the valley for 50 years.

Ohio state buckeye
That’s not Arizona to me 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢. Don’t like it at all, just like crazy dumb Cali.
Yet another water sucking damn golf course. Please stop building those things.
They will keep using water till its all gone then lpeople will be moving out of state you see water is key to life.
@@johnfowler9253 and then the housing prices will be affordable Lolz 😏

We wanted to move to Buckeye AZ In 2015 but hell naw it was too damn far!!
