All of these ladies are awesome! I'm sure there are many more too! But my all time favourite is MISA

Very talented group, and with neither Kiyoshi nor Fujiwara Misaki of Sokoninaru (a personal favourite) making the list, you had so many to choose from! I like the way you saved F Chopper Koga until just before the end, and MISA until the very end ;)
Once again a great selection of great musicians. Love Serina of Trident, Tomomi of Scandal. The Queen for me is Misa of Band Maid.
Why? Because you are a weeaboo for Band-Maid? Serina is a much better player than MISA, much cleaner and her playing is imaginative by comparison.
Hiromi "Hirohiro" Sagane of Tricot is tops.

I don't think Misa is the best... but she's also my favorite among all.
And even though I love Trident and Serina, I honestly think Misa is better... and speaking of Band-Maid, even though I love them, it's not my favorite female J-Rock band... and neither are Kanami and Akane my favorite guitarist or drummer.😉

As long as people enjoy the music and so many bands from Japan become popular it is all good news. Not sure fans ever need to get into trading insults because one fan prefers one band over another or thinks one musician is better than another. As long as Japanese music is popular with us and we can enjoy our own favourites then that has to be a good thing.

Good stuff, Honestly I rank Misa as the best most unique bass player in the world right now I’ve never heard anything like her, amazing talent. She could hold her own against anyone male or female
MISA has the most unique style, driving bass lines and tasty leads & solos that makes up the best rhythm section in the best hard rock group of our times: Band-Maid!
God to many All Female Bands from Japan to Love So much Talent. And they are all beautyful. But i can only Love 1 and thats Misa for me.

I could be wrong but I think Haraguchi-san is the youngest here and certainly one of the best. I love the way she always looks like she’s blown away by what’s going on around her but meets the challenge of that talent and shines every time she plays.

Wonderful choices! My personal favorite is Koga (superb feel + massive technique) with another big shout out to Serina, but there are no bad players here. Another terrific bassist that could hold her head up with any here is Mina (ex-Girlfriend). Also: Marsa from Ark Royal, るか ("Luke") from The SheGlapes, and Yoko (ex-TELECiDE). And that's not even going off-topic and talking about jazz and fusion players...
Misa BAND MAID is a very creative bass player, really enjoys playing her bass because she plays with taste and soul in every song.. and also she's a magician because she instantly changes from strumming to slapping 🔥🔥

love your list hear and by the way nothing wrong with your English, you are blessed in Japan having so many talented female musicians. just as a side note little Haru of Bridear is quite a growler as well and maybe Mina of the former Girlfriend needs to be on this list. Thanks for what you do

Great list, but my personal favorite still the underrated bassist Misaki from Sokoninaru. Low key, she can do whatever she wants in that bass and sing beautifully at the same time, please check her out whoever read this comment
Yes. Tomomi is in the list. Scandal deserves more worldwide recognition outside of Japan and Anime fans.
This a fantastic list REZA !! There is another up-and-coming bassist to put on your radar. She is Blue Ichigo Ichinose, but she likes to be called Gasshan "Crash". She is far and away the WOLFPACK favorite for the LOVEBITES 5th Element position. Give her channel a look. AOIRO-ICHIGO is her current project and she has done a tone collaboration work. Would be really cool to highlight her career and current activities. She has a Birthday Celebration TwitterCast on 18 Aug with a killer line up including JUNNA and YASHIRO. 🤘😁🤘

Great list, but what about MISAKI from SOKONINARU, she definitely deserves to be on the list, she shreds, taps and plucks like no other player while singing in every song (lead, harmonies and vocalising) no other bass player here can compare,
But they aren't metal.
@@Frisbieinstein some of their songs contain plenty of metal aspects. For if it matters many of the bands in the list here wouldn’t really be considered metal, just hard rock
From probably hundreds of great Japanese bassists,it must be hard to narrow it down to just 10, but these 10 are the cream of the crop right now.

I am glad Tomomi is in the list. Scandal is one of the finest and most underrated bands out there. They all write lyrics, compose, do arrangement and sing. One of the most complete bands out there. It is hard to create a list of just 10 female bassist as there are at least 20 more that can be mentioned. Good job!

Shinobu Kawai from Super Junky Monkey is a beast on bass that never gets mentioned in these lists. Also Naoto from Exist Trace is underrated. She's not as flashy, but drops some seriously cool riffs. Lots of great bassists over there. Needs to be a top 50. lol
She is the Empress of Japanese female rock band.

She could easily outplay any of the others, whilst singing lead and harmonies, I don’t think anyone else on the list can claim to that 🤷🏻♂️
