PetruV partly because of the expense but mostly because of consumer demand. Kinda like having a big truck... Neo subs have been around for many years but nobody wants a puny looking sub.

no worries meing! legit question.. i'm not shy, ask anything ya want! i'm a c4-c5 quad since 98 when i was 19 just roughhousing w/ a friend. i can't really use my arms so i use this thing called "Smartnav/ Natural point" that's basically a little camera looking thing that picks up shiny shit like rings, jewelry etc. but it's supposed to be used w/ reflective dots that are literally stuck on my forehead and picks up my head movements to move the mouse.. i just use the stock onscreen keyboard to type. it's hard to explain but i've gotten pretty good/ fast just typing w/ this instead of a specking program like dragon dictate.
ya, i used to be diesel. a farmboy from ct also from doing odd jobs and moving band equipment etc. forever i couldn't gain weight over 180 but for some reason, in 98 i grew an inch and put on 50lbs cut lol..

Blaine Ludeman I just posted a few videos a year or two ago of a system I had, then I upgraded, the I ran into some trouble with the law and had to sell it to pay a ticket and two fines and now I'm about to get another with two 8's and keep my back seat
i know how it is man but hell, 2 8"s will rock if you get the right box and stuff. idk but i was fine with 2 12"s in a sealed box. that's just my preference. sometimes ported boxes can get pretty muddy to me unless you're going for specific frequencies. i listen to everything so to me, a sealed box is more musical.

I just can't get past the size of those Platform 5 motors!!! HOLY FCK!!!! Those motors are so big they make the 18in baskets look like 15's!? I thought my XSv2 15's were big, then i saw the XSv2 SPL's and thought they were big!..... And then I seen THESE fkn things!!!!!!!! W-O-W!!!!! I think you're gonna need to call Crescendo and order 2 more 5500's EXO? One for each VC!!! Lol! (Seriously though....you need more POWAAAAAA!)

screws for a 100 pound subwoofer it's ridiculously should of used bolts and nuts
Juan Hernandez 3inch wood screws in a baffle that thick is more than enough for 100lbs.
Gerald Norton with all that weight and while the car is in motion I'm sure those screws won't be enough specially if he removes the screws and tries to put back together in the same hole.
Juan Hernandez idk we have a screw that can withstand 22000 psi that holds houses together.
I've have screws holding up my SIX XXX 18" subs for almost 5 years straight, 160db, no problems... They are close to 100lbs each.
Comedy Gods just laying it up today, I have some 8" wood here and that seems way sufficient to screw y'alls moms and they are way beyond 400Ibs.. I'll see myself out..

EXOcontralto yes I have seen that video and the box came out awesome I'm super stoked that I got a reply back that's dope it's just I've called shops and people who just build boxes and everyone either doesn't want to build the box cause they think I'm bullshitting them or cause they want me to do a wall and a wall just isn't for me yet it's my daily driver and I got a kid so can't lose the back seat yet not for a few years at least lol what would you recommend downgrading my speakers size or keep trying to find someone to build a box for me I would love for you to build the box but I'm sure you got plenty of things going on and you in Maine and I'm in Chicago although I wouldn't mind the drive tho

Not too worried about it, the motors are bolted on and my other 6 18s are doing fine. These big baskets are designed to hold the biggest motors on the market.

its obvious the car is worth considerably less that the subs alone,and the fact he advertised "big expensive stereo inside"with stickers means the 1st time its parked anywhere out of sight the stereo will be removed and sold.
Just curious why you didn't center the whole on the baffle or even put them towards the bottom?
So you can see them when the seats are in. It would look odd in the middle with no view of the subs while driving.
