Yes, those were my feelings too, you put it so well! :)One of my first thoughts was how I love it that it's the kind of song they've never done before. After all these years and so many diverse songs, styles and themes (they're one of the most versatile bands I've heard, in the best possible meaning of the word!) - here they are, in our nearing their 60s, giving us a song and a mood such as we've never heard from them before! Non sento peggioramenti, ma crescita data dall’esperienza e dalla passione per la musica. È chiaro che non si possono amare tutte le loro tracce allo stesso modo, ma a livello tecnico sono cresciuti molto velocemente dal loro primissimo album, e sono rimasti originali, divertenti, energici, non hanno trascurato piacevoli tracce melodiche. Non si sono mai snaturati, il loro sound è inconfondibile. Trasmettono amicizia e fantasia. I so so so love how John is incorporating more electronic elements, it’s works so well. Adore the synth arpeggios on Bag of Grins, another easy favorite.
