Hey Blockhead, thats not grease, its called fretting. It's when two surfaces fit tightly together but can still move relative to each other. Moisture can get down into those areas via washing the bike, or maybe just riding through rain, giving it that greasy feeling. I'm an aircraft mechanic and we see fretting all the time on engine cowlings and such. Looks like you guys are having a blast. Im jealous.
Fretting, interesting. So it’s like an accumulation of two metal surfaces slightly moving against one another? Was super slick. Based on other things I’ve seen on this bike, I would put it past the last owner throwing grease or anti seize in there, lol

Those bars look WAY better. Have you considered swapping the tank for a larger one ?? I think it would drastically improve the look as well.
Despite the capacity of the tank, I actually like the look of it.

looks good. I notice the bars are not parallel with the forks. I guess you like it like that. I had to move mine to parallel as it was just to much forward and high. I know it is preference just interesting to see how each person likes theirs. also interesting that bike does not have the return to idle on the throttle. I cant remember what year you said that was. I know way back you never had that. looking good though.

That bolt woulda been easier to get pursing something like a screw extractor bit kit. Pretty cheap at hardware stores... for next time
I love it how ur using bmx grips on there and also just to let u know it would probably be a better idea to get a brand like odi or Sunday because cult grips wear out in like two months trust me I know I ride bmx and have ridden them. Also I'm just trying to help out and make sure u get the best quality

When wrapping the pipes, use gloves. I always get stuck by a fiber.

As a rule whoever opens the box should get first choice at any schwag. What's really cool is that they did include several things. Coolest looking hat was the last you unwrapped. Those bars look like similar bars I had on a Schwinn Stingray in the late 60s early seventies. First time I saw a Sucker Punch bike was not long after the American Chopper episode When Vinnie left and he and Cody went to start V Forvmce Choppers.it was the world of wheels car show in New Orleans. They were displayed along with other bikes made from the same company displayed next to other bikes designed by Borgetts. There was three different designs of that model. One I liked best had a tan saddle. Should also be a warning alarm for girl in the garage. Sort of like the sound when a submarine is preparing to dive or a naval ship is being attacked. You were planning on replacing the brake and clutch levers right! In your opinion would it be better to replace the jugs with jugs manufactured with a larger bore along with pistons or bore out the existing jugs which I'm thinking you still need pistons to match the bore. I'm sure its likely more cost effective to do the last option.
Obviously, all the anti-seize got used on the jackshaft and none left for that dang little screw.

Ok, so update on this. TC Bros are clearly lacking on social media, however I took a punt regardless and made an order. The shipment was the quickest I have ever experienced. 2 days from the USA to UK and the workmanship is very high quality.
