Indian cities are poor in landscaping. Landscaping means planting right trees for cities. You can't see the even highrise/skyscraper in Indian big cities due to improper, too tall trees.

City’s size is measured by the number of ppl that live in it. Not by area. Pune is not even in the top 5 in India. Mumbai is the largest metropolis in India , hands down with Delhi being close 2nd. Bangalore by all means overtook Chennai which can be confirmed by 2021 census when they come. In a decade or 2 it will overtake Kolkata too. Hyderabad is developing at great pace too with a large number of people from all over the country migrating to Bangalore and Hyderabad .

Pune used to be a charming paradise to live...but now it has been spoiled by over migration and expansion making it a concrete jungle.... Over the years ...weather has become warmer and hotter.... I remember the time ....when I was a student there....even in summers...the nights used to be very pleasent and AC was not need throughout the year....was there really the need of a bloody metro...??
I have no problem with metro but what you're saying is true. Near my school, there are many new apartment buildings in which people not from Pune live in. My Marathi teacher said when she joined the school there was a lot of greenery but now it became concrete jungle

Road condition in Mumbai and Pune is very poor. Even people do not follow trafic rules. I am from Mumbai and i visited pune 3days ago. The city is nice but the roads are just like Mumbai's.
By the way I am from Pune.. But technically Mumbai is biggest city of Maharashtra.. In future if certain taluka merge in Pune then it will become largest city.. As if now it just in plan
