Haha, Honestly I don't know why youtube still allows videos to be uploaded in 240p. The resolution is just too low for any 21st century screen. They should get it over with so that youtube has better looking content and you don't see crap like this anymore
If its based on the YF23, then at least the airframe design is based on something that has flown and had a test programme, it may even be that Northrop may be working with Bae , or have sold the design to them, if its a design that is not going anywhere in the US, when you look at the possible outcomes with America's currant problems, ( Russian in effect buying the country) we in Europe would be better off with European designs, it will be the greatest irony if the design turned down by the USAF ends up being the European standard stealth combat aircraft used pan European
It doesn't resemble the yf23 at all to me. From the cockpit down to the engines. My question is, and I love my brits, why start a 5th gen fighter program at this point that would take 15 years to get started when they are involved in the f35 program? I understand that the tempest appears to be more of an air superiority fighter with it's two engines, but I think they'd be much better off positioning themselves to have increased involvement and coordination in a co op program.
matt schwinn nobody really even knows what a 6th gen is supposed to be our even do other than probably have the ability to fly without a pilot. Might as well man
matt schwinn because you Nina have to start somewhere. The point I was making is noone really even knows what a 6th fighter is really supposed to do so I'm guessing they're building something for the they they anticipate within the next few decades. Honestly though....I have no idea what I'm talking about :-\
Looks a lot like the Northrop YF-23 with some subtle changes in the cockpit area and tail section. Which is a good thing because everything I have ever read and watched on that project was pretty impressive now let's see if they can actually pull it off and not be another TSR-2 political fiasco
Prubbs the whole cockpit and front of the plane has the same shape that flattens out above the engine and the canted all moving vertical stabilizers in the rear are very similar they are just smaller.
Sorry this was not at RIAT Fairford at all. It was unveiled at Farnborough on the 16th July. Not sure what Cosford had to do with it other than secure storage before Farnborough as this was a BAE effort
2 billion £ around 3.2 billion $ As a project starter. This enables bae systems and rolls Royce to produce a working aircraft by 2025 It's rolls Royce engines are also fitted with magnets to generate Massive electrical power. Reason given is to power possible beam or microwave ordnance. The tempest will also be a dual roll fighter......capable on manned flight....or non manned drone mode. It's avionics will be a joint british Italian venture. It's main ordnance is only in developmental stage at the moment. It's main structure and surface Are at the moment secret. Tempest,by the time it's built Will undoubtedly be the benchmark for all others. Taranis....now tested and workable Will be it's stablemate. Nb....today 19.3.19 bae announce 200 extra engineers jobs created For this project.....and a further announcement this will be in service in 10 to 12 years. It's worth noting that when it enters service it will look very different to this mockup, For example it's outer skin will be a composite or multi wafer design Self repairing.....heat resistant... It will bend radar around it And produce an image of itself miles away, while utilising uk Cloak technology allready tested on british tanks. Their is currently talk of 7th gen For 2050 and beyond using Fusion engines and mach 20 Unmanned ,with unlimited flight time.
Have a day off mate. It'd cost more than £2bn just to get the (puts on Dr Evil voice) "Laser beams" working. Then we have all the other non-existent technology to do that they promised like drone swarms, UAV capability, magnetic jet engines and on and on and on. If you thought the F35 had teething problems wait for this. This is nothing but a government subsidy that can be written off as a failed program. You'll never see a 'Tempest'. You know the new Saab Gripen ... a very cheap plane took £13bn to develop using existing technology? And you think they will have a working aircraft by 2025 that is more ambitions than the $1.5trillion F35 on the £2bn budget announced? This is a backhander to BAE shareholders ... nothing more.
Wow I truly hope the Brits pull off a very dominant air craft. I feel uneasy about the F35. Also the way the world is headed right now. The west needs to be able to push back against China and Russia and crazy Islamist's getting in powerful positions, like in Turkey.
I recall the initial mock up for the tomcat and tornado and typhoon. Very similar to the production model. Nice to see what will be coming after my death.
@Hammer 001 I'm British ... and I'm very used to seeing our tax money handed to military contractors for zero return. I used to work for Airbus. There's a state funded money pit if ever there was one. BAE systems the exact same. It is corruption and if you swallow this kind pie in the sky project, you just enable them to keep ripping off taxpayers to line the pockets of their cronies.
Mr Screamer typhoon cost the U.K. £37B u can’t possibly believe we’re only going to spend 2 on this the f35 r&d was 55b and we paid 2.5b towards that aswell
I strongly suspect this is purely a mock up designed to highlight various concepts for the future. Would be great to see a 100% British fighter emerge from the programme though.
Usually build mock ups to test dimentions with radars, if i could bet id say its a empty shell. They did the same thing with the BAE Replica before they scrapped it.
It will be the best in the world , our british engineers have done things no one else could do .eg. Harrier /concorde /whittle jet engine / ejector seat , rolls royce will make this plane a world beater.
It is most likely a prototype. I heard it won't begin service until at least 2030. British guy here. I'll agree it looks a bit strange but it is nowhere near service and I don't like the look of the tornado either but that is one of the best at what it does. Will probably be excellent when it enters service. (If it does)
I think speed and range will be the all important key features of a true sixth generation fighter! Blow this thing up 35 to 45%, and move the vertical tails back and off of the top of the main wings, and you have the beginnings of a real next gen plane. This mockup is more like 5++ fighter.
The problem is how are they going to make a gen6 without gen5? And what exactly defines gen6? The demo unit used control panel riped from a F35 makes the entire project felt fishy.
MNanme1z4xs in my opinion as a Brit whose mum is Swedish. The USA has 700 billion to spend a year and the f35 and f22 are so expensive they can barely afford it. The Uk and Sweden put together have no where near the military budget for 5th gen so how are they gonna afford 6th gen?
It's a mock up. Most nations do it. The real work and headaches will start once an engine goes into the basic airframe. I'm not sure if the UK will have the funds or the national will to carry it through, though.
Cutting Edge tell that to Boeing and company. America doesn't need to lie, everyone knows we have the best tech. How's that British space program going? Lol
Cutting Edge Cutting Edge LOL! It's attitude like yours that contributes to your country's continuous decline. You guys have been one of the innovators for a few centuries and at the beginning of WW2 we put ourselves under your tutelage as far as military matters and technologies are concerned. Well, we learned all we could and we expanded to the point where we left you behind decades ago. That's why we helped you with your nulear propulsion systems in your submarines and why you use our nukes on them. It's the reason why when one of your chaps come up with a good idea, you guys come to us to develop it instead of doing it yourselves because your infrastructure, fund and national will prevents you from doing it. It's the reason why Rolls Royce asked McDonnell Douglas for help in perfecting the Engine you put in your Harriers. It's the reason why you abandoned your Harriers at the end and went with the McDonnell version. Thanks for giving us the ideas and concepts for VTOL, Catapult, mirror/light traps by the way. We know more about those systems now than you ever did. Your lads (just like the Russians) have some innovative thinkers but what good are they when they can't apply it to practical usage? You live so far in the past that you live off of some distant memory and glory and you still think you're on top. It's mentality like yours that buys an Apache helicopter from us and add a kit or two and proclaim that you "bettered" the helicopter, just like the Jews saying they "upgraded"it after Israel bought it...just like the Koreans say they "upgraded" it after they bought it. You didn't make the Apache better. You just adopted it for your usage. Hell, good thing the people that actually defend you doesn't think like you do. They're in our states learning because they know they can learn from us, not because we're smarter than you (we definitely aren't...that's for sure) but because the past 60 years placed us in a position where we can actually turn those concepts into reality and apply them for practical use. We surpassed your technological abilities back in the 50's and you guys are slowly falling behind. That's a true statement. And like I said, not because we're smarter but we're richer and have much more geo-political iinfluence and nations come to us with their ideas. So good on you, mate. Keep believeng what you do. And keep falling behind.
Cutting Edge Holy shit. We were talking about technology and the art of war and how America learned from the rest of the world (especially from you, Limey) and improved on it and I get a epic rant in return about history. LOL! I don't know what you were taught with regards to how Americans come to think and believe but you probably watched one too many Hollywood movie and drew an inaccurate conclusion from it so I'll forgive you. But seeing as how your version of history is flawed and I very well can't argue with what you THINK we believe, I'll regard you as a bitter fanboy who likes to call people names without a shred of evidence to back up what you say, I'll just go away thinking you're a fanboy. I will, however, correct you and use one of your flawed points to illustrate my point about how good the Americans are at learning and adopting: Your point about World War 2: By the time BoB occurred, as far as Hitler was concerned, the war was for all intent and purpose, over. He knew his operation Sea lion was not going to succeed. And he also knew there was no way Britan could conduct a sea attack by themselves, even with the help of the commonwealth. So the war in the Western front was in effect a stalemate. Germans couldn't attack Britain and vice versa. But Germany got everything from France to Finland with Spain being "neutral" and Italy being an ally. Britain got nothing and only a few month before, were looking into plans to move the crown to Canada. It was a stalemate with German gaining everything and Britain gaining nothing. But Hitler had a problem. Knowing that his regime was one of conquering, and knowing he needed to support the German economy further by scavenging another, he looked East to Russia. He had indications that Stalin was going to attack within two years so he took preemptive actions. He attacked East and for a good portion of a year, he faced no meaningful resistance. Only when he got to Stalingrad and due to Soviet depth, the horrible Winter and their ability to absorb casualties, was he stopped dead cold. He finally became bogged down and drew more and more material and men from the Western front. He drew more and more troops from the Western front and only then did that gave an opening for operation Overlord. Up to then we had no worries about a British attack from that direction. He only slowly started to move the Wermacht back to the beach's later when Americans started massing in Britain. By the way, we helped the Soviets greatly with Lend Lease. We supplied 30% of their POL and over 25% of their trucks and that increased, when the Soviets started their counter attack. Historians are generally agreed that help made their push out West much easier than it could have been. What the hell did Britain ever do to help the Soviets, Brit boy? Anyway, back to my point. Stalin put great pressure on both Roosevelt and Churchill to open up a Western front and we were not able to do it because we were still amassing our troops. We were able to start a meaningful bombing campaign to appease Stalin though. The Brits knew the Germans and how they fight so they tried to advise us on how to carry out the campaign. Call it American cockiness or arrogance but we declined their advice and did it our way. We got our asses handed to us and got the shit kicked out of us (pretty much the same at Kasserine Pass) We lost way too many men and aircraft at the beginning that we had no choice but to go to the Brits and ask them to teach us how to do it. Well, guess what? We learned, we adopted and we refined. We created new bombers and tactics with the lessons learnt and by the time the bombing campaign was over, we were much more effective at it than you guys ever were. In 1941, we had a hell of a time catching up with the Brits. By 1943, we became equal partners By 1945, we were ahead and actually helping you more than you helped us. So don't act like you're still the best and tout your history like it means something now. And don't thump your chest about how you gave us rocket technology 60 years ago and expect to be still ahead of us now when we literally invested hundreds of billions refining that technology while you have not. Both Soviets and America actuallyn learned more from the German scientists and engineers that were captured. Both the F-86 and Mig-15 that fought over the skies of Korea were German idea that was improved upon. And for godsake's you sound like the Chinese with their " we invented gunpowder and paper and...etc.." If you were to go by that argument, I can say we invented heavier than air flight known as an airplane. Everybody else who owns an airplane need to get on their knees and acknowledge how we were able to help them fly. By the way, you're using a cellphone/laptop/smart phone and arguing on a You Tube app that were all an American inventions so.....you're welcome. :) See how stupid that argument is? Now go away troll.
The F35 has pylons that are around 2 meters tall. This thing has pylons that are about a quarter of that. In reality there would be no yaw control ... that's partly why it looks so weird.
The Tempest is not a new British idea , Sorry for my computer but i cant past links at the mo , Type in , Mystery Stealth aircraft spotted at BAE Warton 18/2/2014 or FOAS test model @ Bae Warton Aerodrome 11/3/2014 to see her in 2014 , The fact that the Uk has just given 2 billion pounds to the Tempest prodject shows willing , Lets prey the Uk goes all the way here , The Uk has the skills and experience in many top military aircraft in the past both by herself and with friendlly partners , The fact that models are seen in earlly 2014 shows the idea was well before then ..
This airplane has got it all! It is stealth, it is simple and it packs a punch like no other aircraft. It has AES encryption which is a weakness, it can easily be cracked, but, to make it more interesting, the AES is hardware encryption, meaning that a crack can ultimately lead to the loss of the whole plane. It has remote weapons bay but without teleportation, meaning that the aircraft capability in the air is quite limited, just sixteen missiles. With that said, those are the only two weaknesses of the aircraft. Some specs: Max speed: Mach 6 Max throttle: 68 000nm Service ceiling: 20 000 meters Range: 10 000 nm flyby, 20 000 nm drift Carries an asortment of weaons including harpoons, sixteen bay
I'm guessing the Tempest is being built as an air superiority fighter, whereas the F-35 is a multirole fighter. Probably about the same as the differences between the F-22 and the F-35
Don't worry. It's a British aviation/aerospace project so after we've spent a ton of money on it we'll CANCEL IT ) ala TSR-2, Nimrod MR.4, HOTOL, SR-177......
The Tempest is anticipated to have both piloted and unmanned variants. Plus other technology still in the works, such as directed energy weapons (microwaves / lasers).
That's a 1:1 scale model of the concept tempest being towed in the video. Most definitely not an F22, in part because we'll most likely never see an F22 with the RAF roundel on it.
If we are making this thing then what was the point of paying 100 billion of so called 5th generations stealth f35s. We already have the most potent fighter jet in the world in our arsenal, the eurofighter typhoon. I just don't understand what our top brass are thinking?.
F-35Bs are for the RN and are entering service NOW. This is for the RAF as a replacement for the Typhoon and it isn't scheduled to enter service until 2035, assuming there are no delays. The RAF might purchase F-35As to help replace the remaining Tornadoes.
The Tempest had to be towed,China s 6th J-28 generation fighter flew at mach 6 speed for several hours and landed on September 18,2015.Typed Wang Zhenguo and VLRAAM into your computer to find more information on China s 6th generation airplane. The PL-21 that flew at mach 6 speed is based on the scram jet engine according to National Interest and Popular Mechanics.
This model is tiny and very low. I wonder how the real thing is gonna end up. Also, those nozzle covers seem to not allow thrust vectoring, which should be a must for this plane! Best of luck to BAE with this beauty!
Everything no it’s a 6th gen, well it will be come 2035. This is just a mock-up most of the tech that will be used on the actual aircraft hasn’t even been thought of yet.
cmon dude, i'm not an engineer but this thing looks like a brick with no control surface at all, according to a Swiss guy called Bernoulli this can't fly very well, but who knows.
Why does these futuristic aircraft still need vertical twin fins - F-35 / SU 57 ??? When the Horton Brother's Go 229 Jet Powered Flying Wing with its very low radar signature did not need any . And This spectacular German , Very very futuristic aircraft was flying in 1944 !!!
Its 2018 - what's with 240p?
Or this person is not suppose to be firming LOL
So you can't see the sticky tape and paper clips.
Haha, Honestly I don't know why youtube still allows videos to be uploaded in 240p. The resolution is just too low for any 21st century screen. They should get it over with so that youtube has better looking content and you don't see crap like this anymore
It is the new jamming system so you can't recognize this plane properly as it is stealthy.
filmed by samsung
Glad to see are brothers and sisters accomplish something truly amazing, love you guys 🇺🇸🇬🇧
It'll need to go a lot faster......
Cutting Edge r/whooooosh
Cutting Edge r/whooooooosh
Ben : Cutting edge is a troll. Ignore his bull shit.
Cutting Edge Y are u talking? America can build. Look at its arsenal
LOL
so stealthy it justs danders up to the enemy like a boss smoking a cig, at walking pace, they'll never suspect a thing.
Northrop Grumman' yf23 was so ahead of it's time. tragic it never made it to production

Honestly though....I have no idea what I'm talking about :-\
Wow, a rolling Scale 1/1 Airfix.
That was my impression. This is just a mockup correct?
cant imagine the amount of tamiya putty and sanding needed on that one 😅
Looks a lot like the Northrop YF-23 with some subtle changes in the cockpit area and tail section. Which is a good thing because everything I have ever read and watched on that project was pretty impressive now let's see if they can actually pull it off and not be another TSR-2 political fiasco
This kind of thing Corbyn will be dragged kicking and screaming into supporting by the unions.
Does look similar to the yf 23 but really all 5th gen designs are pretty similar
Mate it's about as close to looking like the YF-23 as the F-22 is.
Prubbs the whole cockpit and front of the plane has the same shape that flattens out above the engine and the canted all moving vertical stabilizers in the rear are very similar they are just smaller.
Lol, what you talkin' bout?
When was the last time you saw a YF-23?

Their is currently talk of 7th gen

Have a day off mate. It'd cost more than £2bn just to get the (puts on Dr Evil voice) "Laser beams" working. wonder how many tubes of glue and tins of humbrol paint that bugger took to complete lol
Geez, 240p in this day and age? Can't you do any better?
Ray Theron no i cant 240 it is
Considering the Soviet spy hid the camera in the fly of his trouser you should be grateful someone at the Pravda was willing to handle the footage😀
This is just a wood model or something right? Looks similar to the yf 23 but much smaller canted vertical stabilizers in the rear
is it a model , or is that ppllane getting towed the actual thing that can fly?
it is a model but that is what the final product will look like
I strongly suspect this is purely a mock up designed to highlight various concepts for the future. Would be great to see a 100% British fighter emerge from the programme though.
Usually build mock ups to test dimentions with radars, if i could bet id say its a empty shell.

When does it loose those vertical tail wings once and for all ??
Nice. But a bit slow innit?
It will be the best in the world , our british engineers have done things no one else could do .eg. Harrier /concorde /whittle jet engine / ejector seat , rolls royce will make this plane a world beater.
Am I correct in thinking the fuzzy blob is an aircraft. Btw loved the wind noise sound effect
Will these be able to land on the carriers?
Feature create - done!! Solid protursion - done!! One side done.
Question: How is it a 6th gen jet? Doesn't the RAF need a 5th gen jet first?
I thought it wouldnt have tail fins no more? For better stealth?
"Great footage taken by Sergeant Jason Dinsley" HELLO?!
It is most likely a prototype. I heard it won't begin service until at least 2030.
British guy here. I'll agree it looks a bit strange but it is nowhere near service and I don't like the look of the tornado either but that is one of the best at what it does. Will probably be excellent when it enters service. (If it does)
Give Sergeant Jason Dinsley a salary rise. He is still going with that Nokia 3210.
I think speed and range will be the all important key features of a true sixth generation fighter! Blow this thing up 35 to 45%, and move the vertical tails back and off of the top of the main wings, and you have the beginnings of a real next gen plane. This mockup is more like 5++ fighter.
Kinda looks like a mix of the f-22 and the yf-23. I wonder if it'll ever fly. Or if they guy who filmed and released this video will be prosecuted.
If the YF23 and the F35 had a love child, this is what it would look like.
Its a drone and pilot at the Same time
I think most people call that autopilot.
Looks like it needs to be extended to be bigger for more internal weapons bays and fuel on the face of it to me.
The problem is how are they going to make a gen6 without gen5? And what exactly defines gen6? The demo unit used control panel riped from a F35 makes the entire project felt fishy.

Is it me, or does the nose wheel look unusually far back?
Yes but it doesn't matter that's just a mock-up the final product will probably be different from this one
Awesome jet! 🏴
Much smaller than I thought it would be.
The guys phone is being jammed as he films super tech
Sure is slow.
Well , the F22 couldnt stand rain. Now its up to the typhoon.
Can a TEMPEST carry GBU 39 SDB...?
Feel like compromise too much for stealth and simplicity. Needs a little extra redundancy, right?
This is like the new Chinese and F22 markup
Is this a technology demonstrator or just an airframe.
it's a mock-up i.e. a model of what could result from the program. It can't fly.
Glad this isn't it's final form.
Looks like a yf-23 if you a say where they went with 50%/50% F-22 and f23 we would have been Unstoppable
looks like an F-35 with YF-23 tail. such low resolution, i call it's a mock up.
Why doesn’t Northrop sell the YF23?
it has the same stealth tech as f22 witch is still classified
did you record this with a gulf ball?
It's a mock up. Most nations do it.
The real work and headaches will start once an engine goes into the basic airframe.
I'm not sure if the UK will have the funds or the national will to carry it through, though.
apparently the Uk has just received funding from france and Italy so it should be a go ahead
Ferruzzicati the 5th tallest midget in a crowd of people is still a midget.

I will, however, correct you and use one of your flawed points to illustrate my point about how good the Americans are at learning and adopting:
Your point about World War 2:
By the time BoB occurred, as far as Hitler was concerned, the war was for all intent and purpose, over.
We got our asses handed to us and got the shit kicked out of us (pretty much the same at Kasserine Pass)
We lost way too many men and aircraft at the beginning that we had no choice but to go to the Brits and ask them to teach us how to do it.
Well, guess what?
We learned, we adopted and we refined. We created new bombers and tactics with the lessons learnt and by the time the bombing campaign was over, we were much more effective at it than you guys ever were.
In 1941, we had a hell of a time catching up with the Brits.
By 1943, we became equal partners
By 1945, we were ahead and actually helping you more than you helped us.
And for godsake's you sound like the Chinese with their " we invented gunpowder and paper and...etc.."
If you were to go by that argument, I can say we invented heavier than air flight known as an airplane. Everybody else who owns an airplane need to get on their knees and acknowledge how we were able to help them fly.
By the way, you're using a cellphone/laptop/smart phone and arguing on a You Tube app that were all an American inventions so.....you're welcome. :)
See how stupid that argument is?
Now go away troll.
It just doesn't look right, now the F35 that's a beautiful bit of kit
The F35 has pylons that are around 2 meters tall. This thing has pylons that are about a quarter of that. In reality there would be no yaw control ... that's partly why it looks so weird.
Camera Oneth generation ?
i think yoou ment first(1st)
sixth-generation fighter what happen to 5th
Looks like a smaller version of the J-20
get eyes tested
The Tempest is not a new British idea , Sorry for my computer but i cant past links at the mo , Type in , Mystery Stealth aircraft spotted at BAE Warton 18/2/2014 or FOAS test model @ Bae Warton Aerodrome 11/3/2014 to see her in 2014 , The fact that the Uk has just given 2 billion pounds to the Tempest prodject shows willing , Lets prey the Uk goes all the way here , The Uk has the skills and experience in many top military aircraft in the past both by herself and with friendlly partners , The fact that models are seen in earlly 2014 shows the idea was well before then ..
they should add "engine exhaust" instead of that red circle... would look better.
Its to stop bugs and crap getting into the exhaust Jebi Se , most fighters when on a hard standing have them , you remove before flight checks , DOH.
its a mock up it doesnt have engines...
Even more reason then to block the intakes and exhaust up , you gotta STOP DEM BUGS A GITTIN IN.
In the world of you tube can nothing be secret anymore...some times a good thing sometimes not.
Looks like an F22 that’s been left in the sun
Looks like a shark of the air ... may I just say spitfire lightning harrier. .. UK can engineer good stuff on a budget
Filmed with a toaster
it isn't 6th, it's 7th generation
the thing is flying too
when it will be in sky
It is just mock up, not even test plane
Good luck UK!
Joon Park
Do you expect us to build it instantly with out planing
At 240p you won't be able to tell its fake
RAF is that true or not
This airplane has got it all!
Some specs:
Max speed: Mach 6
Max throttle: 68 000nm
Service ceiling: 20 000 meters
Range: 10 000 nm flyby, 20 000 nm drift
Carries an asortment of weaons including harpoons, sixteen bay
I thought they were buying the F-35.
F-35B replaces UK's Harriers.
OK!
I'm guessing the Tempest is being built as an air superiority fighter, whereas the F-35 is a multirole fighter. Probably about the same as the differences between the F-22 and the F-35
@Hugh Jarce doubt it will replace the typhoon, don't forget the Tornado GR4 we are loosing so a good possibility to be replacing that
@Hugh Jarce very true,
Will probably never happen. Its what to be in service by 2035. With all the defence cuts etc I very much doubt this project will ever take off.
Don't worry. It's a British aviation/aerospace project so after we've spent a ton of money on it we'll CANCEL IT )
ala TSR-2, Nimrod MR.4, HOTOL, SR-177......
GASP!!!!!!! A NEW BRITiSH FIGHTER!!!!????
This plane shoots electricity.
It isn’t a fighter it’s a prop for Minister to stand in front of on order to justify giving dosh ro weapons designers.
TRS2 revisited
Whats difference between 6th and 5th gen? I think its not the pilot it has cockpit? Hmmmm
The Tempest is anticipated to have both piloted and unmanned variants. Plus other technology still in the works, such as directed energy weapons (microwaves / lasers).
Why don't keep this project a secret ? Expose it size and design is big blunder ?How it will be a disadvantage for fighter program ?
Sreeraj Newgen it's just a mock up. You can't get that much information about its performance from a mock up...
*6th gen fighter
*Still has vertical stabilizers
Okay let's throw it in the garbage ladies and gents
It's not tempest probably F 22 . Tempest will be developed only by 2025
That's a 1:1 scale model of the concept tempest being towed in the video. Most definitely not an F22, in part because we'll most likely never see an F22 with the RAF roundel on it.
proudly filmed with a potato
If we are making this thing then what was the point of paying 100 billion of so called 5th generations stealth f35s. We already have the most potent fighter jet in the world in our arsenal, the eurofighter typhoon. I just don't understand what our top brass are thinking?.
F-35Bs are for the RN and are entering service NOW. This is for the RAF as a replacement for the Typhoon and it isn't scheduled to enter service until 2035, assuming there are no delays. The RAF might purchase F-35As to help replace the remaining Tornadoes.
eurofighter is losing 20-1 vs the F35 which BAE also make with the US
Recorded with a high definition 🥔 potato.
The year is 2018, and this chap used a potato to record a new generation fighter jet. The juxtaposition is hilarious.
The back of that thing is hideous.
Must be top secret then !! Lol !!! :-D
This model is tiny and very low. I wonder how the real thing is gonna end up. Also, those nozzle covers seem to not allow thrust vectoring, which should be a must for this plane! Best of luck to BAE with this beauty!
Its 5th gen lol not 6th.
Everything no it’s a 6th gen, well it will be come 2035. This is just a mock-up most of the tech that will be used on the actual aircraft hasn’t even been thought of yet.
I hope China does not steal this aircraft technology again for their use on their mock plane as it once hit the American F-35😂😂
She is beautiful 😍
Filmed using a potato camera.
this is a protest to the F-35, right? 🤣
BAE Also make the F35
It is a dummy not real
F22
C500>tempest
Airfix do better models
looks like a joke
ice man
indeed, lol
ice man
How so
cmon dude, i'm not an engineer but this thing looks like a brick with no control surface at all, according to a Swiss guy called Bernoulli this can't fly very well, but who knows.
tnx
i wasn't really thanking you either .
Making a mock-up is ridiculous considering the project hasn't even started, like the Iranian it's embarrassing.
But they ALL start with a mock-up! ALL of them.
Old school propulsion 😂
Ja,ja,ja,........
'
nice plane...
look alike copy from american plane YF-22 / YF-23 and firefox on movie
