“People have a sweet tooth”
American”it’s not sweet”
Only an American could call an iced custard slice “not sweet”
😂😂😂
It’s not a sweet as American desserts. Ours are overly sweet.
I’ve had quite a variety of sweetness of custard slices though 🤔
@@xlr8436 Interesting. So it varies depending in who’s making it.
Yeah even American bread, yoghurt & cheese has corn syrup in it !

I know you were waiting for the Vegemite, but he has already tried it and likes it
I really do too. No kidding.
Pinjarra Bakery do the best "Snot Blocks". Maddington is my closest Pinjarra Bakery. I like their "Ned Kelly" pie. "Bush Chook" is best enjoyed in a stubby. The aluminum of the can ruins the flavour.

How good is a pie, snot block and a can of coke, a true blue Aussie morning tea right there!! Hell, it's good for any meal of the day.
I actually thought they would have the pie, a snot block and an iced coffee milk
My neck of the woods it's a savoury slice, a kitchener bun and a farmers union iced coffee.
Aaahh nothing finer than a lunch stopover at a classic small town bakery with pies for mains and a “snot block” or Lammo for desert. ❤️

Such a classic lunch on the go, a meat pie, snot block, and coke 🤣
Swap the coke out for an iced coffee in South Aussie 👍
I loved it!
Props for showing him the /correct/ way to eat a TimTam. Too many people don't do this when introducing foreigners to TimTams and honestly it just removes so much from the biscuit if you just rawdog it.
I love how the pupper comes in every so often like 'can I has some '

My wife is American, been married 10 years & back when she 1st migrated to Australia I would do the same, keep giving her things to try. She converted safe to say lol. She loves all of it....except Vegemite, she pretends to like it. She loves our cooking, well I'm half Maltese so she gets that great Mediterranean cuisine in addition to Australian cooking. I shipped your books to the USA a while back. The familly loves making meals from it, but having traveled a bit, we're always curious how much different our results taste from yours. Ingredients change so much country to country. The lamb comments made me think of this again. Lamb definitely is more gamey in the USA. This was a cool video! Would love to see side by side tests of your recipes made with identically named ingredients from different countries. Probably too difficult to ship in for some things.
Hey! Since I’ve come home I found some Aussie lamb at Costco. Just as Harry pontificates, it was less gamey and just as good as what he served me.
