As an LSU fan, I have soooooo much respect for that man. When Skalski got ejected and Lawrence fumbled, you can tell it broke his heart and showed care/love to them. He's the father of their team and one of the greatest to ever do it.
I thought it was cool, after Lawrence fumbled. Even the LSU guys were showing him respect, and telling him to keep his head up.
@@BigstickNickIts the little things that get me. Saw both sides helping the other team up after a hard hit, its nice to see some mutual respect.
It is classified as a fumble, but the defensive player hit Lawrence's ball carrying arm with the crown of his helmet. It is very difficult to hold on in that position.

I felt like crying for Skalski when he got ejected. He was so upset. Looked like someone had killed his dog. That guy was holding everything together against Burrow and had 3-4 sacks plus a bunch of tackles. Not only that but the defense took a colossal loss of momentum from that. I don't think we pressured Burrow the rest of the game after that.
"We go and love on him when he scores touchdowns, so we're gonna love on him when he makes mistakes too." This is one classy coach. I can see why this team has been so successful. Thank you LSU for an exciting year.
Congratulations to LSU and coach O. I have always been a Clemson fan and will be till the day I die. LSU simply outplayed us and they earned the win. It was a heck of a game. Go Tigers 🐅.

@@2B_S5 Lots of coaches do that. I've seen Mark Dantonio do it THREE times more than Swinney. Harbaugh, Smart and even Saban a couple of times have done it. Is it a bit ridiculous? Maybe, but it's used as a motivational tool.
This is what I love about Dabo this most. His classiness. How humble he is even in defeat. I would love to work with a great leader like that.

He got boat raced by LSU, what excuse was he going to make? Dabo turned into a clown this year. Clemson didn't deserve respect playing an awful ACC schedule. Any reasonable fan could tell Clemson was very soft after both the tOSU and LSU games. Just not near as physical. Dabo crying about being disrespected for 2 months straight was just a terrible look. One presser doesn't make up for a hundred bad ones. Dabo just isn't what we use to think he was (a good guy).

Tough loss. This will hurt for a bit but I'm so incredibly proud of this team. Nothing will take away from what a thrilling season it's been.

He seems like a really classy coach.
I was glad to see LSU finish the season with a national championship, one of those games where you hate to see either team lose...both had great seasons. Coach O and Dabo are to be congratulated awesome seasons!
Lsu deserved because they played against almost all the top 10 team and they beat all of them, meanwhile Clemson played an easy calendar this year.

GosokuRyuYodan it was closer than it the score showed tho. Clemson dropped a probable pick six, multiple other interceptions, and Trevor was simply off . They converted one third down. I’m not taking anything away from LSU. I just think everyone who hates Clemson for some reason is being rlly ignorant. For the most part I’ve seen classy LSU fans who realize they had a special season and that they recognize that they most likely won’t be this good next year. I am a die hard LSU fan and I would like to say congratulations to the Clemson organization. What a fantastic coach they have in Dabo. I really like how during this interview how he mentioned how taking something negative and turning it around to make something positive about it. That clearly defines him which leaves no doubt on why he his such an incredible coach... The "C" on his cap stand for "Class"... Great Job Coach Dabo!!!! Geaux Tigers!!!!

The defense never gave up more than 17 pts all yr and lsu hung 42 on them. Lawrence was 18-36 with no tds. So I'll ask again. How was THIS GAME great for clemson?

@William Evans I hope so but, I have to say what drives me crazy about Bama's d-backs is the fact that they never and I mean never turn to find the ball when they are in man coverage and not just this year but every year that Saban has been there. To me Alabama was the Best Team... But with all the injuries they had before the season and during the season... I read they had 5 freshmen start on the defense... Even with Tua hurt and banged up they should have beat LSU...That is hard for any team to over come...

This is why my two favorite coaches in college football are coach o and dabo. Look at the difference in the post game interviews between dabo and Ryan day. Such a class act.

FYI: Clemson will be just fine, and will make the CFP again next year. I think most people don't know that Clemson is a young team who had to replace most of their defense, and yet they still made it to the NCG. Likewise, I believe that 2020 will be our year to win it all again. Either way, congrats LSU.

Clemson has an automatic bid to the playoffs every year because of their conference. They avoid major injuries all season and are usually fresher than the other teams in the playoffs. Simular to the Patriots.

This is a once in a generation level team LSU had they won’t be that good for a while and with Joe leaving an unknown QB stepping up that won’t attract big name receivers. The sec also was pretty much handed to LSU when Tua went down the SEC only has Alabama no other team in the SEC does anything.
If I had a son, I’d let him play for Dabo or Coach O.
