That is what a Power Wagon should look like
I towed a leaking Jeep on the back of a 2019 5500 20' flatbed up a hill that i definitely shouldn't have been going up and it didnt miss a beat! impressed to say the least
Wow that's Awesome!! Yeah these trucks are built for the hardest conditions and over built to say the least! Thanks for sharing your story!
Those steps are amazing. This truck is 🤩🤩🤩🤩. I know buckstop, I didn’t know they were a one stop shop. This is good to know, very good to know. Great job brother, great job 👌🏾
Yes, Buckstop is Amazing and will take care of you 100%. Awesome guys to work with.
Dude! Wow! I just saw this scrolling through RUclips. I just bought a '19 5500 w/ a dump bed
Yooooo Brother Graham, awesome that you found me here! Congrats in your Big Rig 5500!!! You'll kick A$$ in that monster. Hope all is well for you Brother!
Tim and Betsey here! A job well done! Really looking forward to seeing it all come together!
Thank you so much for your support!! I am glad you and Betsey liked the video!!
Nice truck. That truck camper is going to look awesome on there. I own a Lance 1172 and I am in need of a more heavy duty truck to carry it. I am thinking of getting the Chevy HD 4x4 crew for my needs. It has great payload capacity but it has the smaller tires which I kinda like to keep my center of gravity low as well as keeping my total height under 13 feet. I can’t wait to see your setup finished.
Thanks, John!! I you have a great camper and rig too!! I am about 13.6 feet high with the camper on the 5500. Rides great!
Great first video out of the gate!
Glad you enjoyed it
Better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it totally agree man nice truck 👍
Thanks Brother!
Here we go!
LFG!!
I have a 5500 I love your videos
Nice truck, what kind of mileage do you get going down the interstate 70mph? I want to do the same thing. What was the cost including labor for the buck stop conversion?
Hey there Mike, so I get 10-11 MPG on the Highway at 70. The total cost on the Buckstop conversion was $16,900 for the full kit and installed.
Not sure if you have covered it or not, but why the Hemi gas engine and not the 6.7 Cummins in a truck of this size? Do you not tow at all?
If you had the same set up but having to travel 500 -1,000 miles on highways to get to your off road camping venues would you still make the conversion to the super single?
Oh yeah, it's having best of both worlds and it's super drivable on the highway and off road.
Looking to do the same if the air ride fails could you still drive the truck? Awesome rig
Thank you! If the air ride fails I can definitely still drive the truck it will ride on the internal bump stops within the air bags. Should last about 2 or 3 thousands miles that way.
Great Nate you just convinced me
YES! Haha!! You got some serious rigs yourself now...
I just got an f550 and have a mammoth bought . I was looking at the super single with liquid spring but I'm not sure I'll be over 13'6" . How tall is your deck unweighted and with the mammoth on ? I figure 41" deck 5 1/2" conversion and 118w/AC " on the Mammoth puts me at 13' 8 1/2" unweighted . Weighted I could be close. Really appreciate the videos. Thanks
Hi Nathan, is your truck 84" Cab to Axle with standard rails?
Hey John, my truck is a 60" CA with the the rails that came on the 5500.
What's the total carry capacity that it can haul? The payload. The towing capacity i get. I am looking for something that can carry 13000lbs. So far only seeing the ford 750s. Any advice would be nice.
They max payload for my set up is 11,000 Pounds and I believe the absolute MAX for RAM is 12,300 LBS... Getting to 13K lbs is tough... Those Ford 750's are Massive!!
Mr Piccard , rear axel on my Ram its 12000k pound maximum capacity . My trail with max load = 28000 K pounds if I spread the load the right way my rear axel on the truck showing 11500 . Hopefully this will answer your wrong ask questions.
Awesome brother
Thank you, Brother Michael!!
What was the cost of your truck before all modifications and what was the total after modifications if you don't mind me asking?
I paid $51K for the truck it was new with 8 miles on it. I am about 27K with all the mods so far so right around 80K
@@KruseandViews thanks
@@KruseandViews What dealership did you use? I can't even find a tradesman for under 60k
Where did you get the steps from?
What did the bed cost and also do you know what the weight of that aluminum bed
The bed cost $7,000 and it weights 550 LBS. You can find more info on it at knapheide.com Thanks for watching!
What is the load rating of the tires?
Nice truck im currently researching may i ask what rpm your at 65 mph
Adam, I am at 1700 RPM at 65. Ride like a Cadillac Haha!
Hi. Did you get your truck regeared?
No, I have the stock 4.44 gears in the truck
@@KruseandViews Thank you for the quick reply. How is the stock gearing performing? Do you think switching to 6.17 or 5.29 is any better? What tire size are you running?
@@collinsnjarara3352 I have heard that the stock 4:89 gears that you can also get are great with these size tires
ZERO penetration on those bumper welds. Hmmm, be interesting to see how those hold up.
What do you mean you wonder how they will hold up? Do you see something in the work that gives you the impression that they will fail? Thanks Mike and thank you so much for watching!
where did you order your running boards
They are made by company called Aries and found a great deal on Ebay so I bought them there. Thanks!
Did it not come with dual fuel tanks? S!cK truck.👍
Thanks! My truck did not come with the dual tanks. But I am going to a 91 gallon AUX tank soon so I will have 143 gallons onboard!!
@@KruseandViews Might be worth getting the dual setup, keeps the weight down low.
