I’ll prolly skip this year if all the cards have the scratches and roller marks. Almost every pack you opened had issues. Doesn’t give a lot of hope for getting 10’s graded
Bowman chrome seemed to have a lot of roller marks as well
I agree i bought a hobby box last year and i was disappointed. Topps chrome 2019 update was the last year that it was decent in my opinion

I just opened one of these boxes myself in the value box size and half of the cards were curved. I assume from leaning towards one side and being pressed from the other packs. Topps needs to fix that

It's like a 90s song spoof. You down with bad QC, yeah you know me. After the 2022 Update Chrome debacle, I vowed I wouldn't ever buy a Chrome Update product unlees they fixed the print lines, roller marks, divits in cards etc. Looks like they don't care. Thanks for sharing Stryker.
The QC on chrome retail was pretty decent this year. The roller marks on these kill me though.
There is a weird mix of on card and sticker autos in this product. There’s also the fact that you can get veteran autos again, thus bringing down the value of this product.
All depends on who the vets are. I would rather have a Yelich auto than some no-name rookie, regardless of position, who was just thrown in because he was one of the 100 rookies who had qualified to make the release.
@@Delmiester I agree, but I have seen some bad vet autos. Topps just puts such garbage autos in their products and then charges the same amount of money for it. This release should be selling for far below what Chrome sold for earlier this year. Yet it’s selling at pretty much the same initial price 😐
@@wasfurious agree there for sure, until folks stop paying these prices though, no reason for them to not charge it. Breaking can keep the prices high unfortunately, paying $300 for a box is too much but in a mixer when it’s only $10 per person, it’s much easier to stomach.
@@wasfurious I love Stryker, so dont misinterpret this, but box prices are 100% because of breakers, not normal folks just ripping a box or two.

The only thing I think that is going to keep the price near the current level or go up a little is the rookie patch chases, otherwise, I didn't see anywhere near $130 in value in this rip? I think this product will eventually come down, but until then, I'd rather spend $199 / $119 on 22 Topps Update jumbo / hobby over at blowout.
The only people who can count this product as a "win" is topps. Should have kept this product retail. Topps making this a hobby product and guaranteeing an auto just allows them to jack the price up and include a bunch of autographs of people nobody wants. In the past years this product was ripped for the rc's. Not the autos.

I am hoping this is a surprising good release. I went in heavy for me, picked up 4 boxes of the delight, hobby, jumbo each from the topps presale. Supposed to be here tomorrow and I can't wait. I am excited to get into it after watching this. Thanks!

This product is exactly why I don’t like topps. They have no product variety. Their yearly product lineup is chrome, chrome update, chrome sapphire, chrome update sapphire, bowman chrome, bowman chrome sapphire, bowman draft chrome sapphire, chrome black, chrome logofractor, chrome Allen and ginter, chrome Ben baller, bowman chrome x, chrome sonic……

There’s no way that goes up in price
I think this looks miles better than 2022 TCU, but I just can't get excited for the checklist same as the flagship update. Rookie Debut isn't very enticing for the big boys. Thinking it would be better to go with regular Topps Chrome for the best true RC.

Love the debut patches but with a high price and super weak checklist there’s no justification to opening this up just for a chance to hit a super rare patch rookie card

I collect mostly baseball, but also some football and hockey. I absolutely love Topps over panini. On card autos for mlb and no fake patches. Not to mention pricing isn't crazy ridiculous. Nothing like buying a 1000$ pack of cards (NT) only to get sticker autos and patches not from any specific game or event😑
Some of the biggest rookies in NFL and NBA people are chasing don't even sign any autos for panini. Imagine paying high prices for Topps while knowing you have no shot pulling Corbin Carrell or Adley Rutschman auto, and don't adjust prices because of that.

I think some of the guys they skipped on in Topps Chrome are oncard.. the back says RA instead of Update Chrome Auto on back. Can’t wait to rip my breakers delight boxes! Goodluck!

Yeah, the value ( resale of singles ) was not there. Sure, you could hit a lottery ticket...but probably not. Glad QC was a little better, at least with this box.

Frankly, I'm just afraid the production is too high on this for it to make sense opening with the checklist. I'm happy with the autos being on-card, but the value of singles just won't justify the chase for those few Rookie Debut patch-auto cards.

My silver packs from Topps chrome jumbo box had thick black lines going through the center of every card. Are they roller marks? I'll probably take a chance on a hobby of this on Wednesday.

Those roll marks and print lines are a little concerning. The product has some big upside if that isn't a theme...
This is the set this year that Stryker will fill up the stage with on every break. Can't wait brother. This man is on the Mt. Rushmore of individual breakers.

Why are top rookie prospect players who have themselves on baseball cards are worth so much for just base and/or parallel cards in comparison to just top name veteran players and hall of fame players?
Not a lot of value
