The feature you mentioned about being able to type the time in alarm clocks was introduced before iOS 15. I'm running iOS 14.7.1 on my phone, and I have that feature. I think it came with iOS 14, or shortly after.

Give it a few years. Apple likes to keep one design for a long time so people associate it with their brand. Like their old design went from 2007-2017. I think they’ll change in 2024-25
The FaceTime events feature feels like a reverse of what Microsoft is doing with Teams. Microsoft is trying to make teams more usable as a casual video chat app and Apple is trying to make FaceTime more usable as a professional video conferencing app.
I have to agree with those who have said Microsoft is going to fail in getting people to use it as a casual video chat service with a name like Microsoft Teams. It’s so not casual!

one small, but really cool addition: background sounds. it’s buried deep in the accessibilities section, but if you go to the audio/visual tab there’s the option to turn on background sounds to help you focus or relax. There’s ocean noice, white/dark noise, rain, etc. I just wish they made it easier to toggle on and off, but it’s helped me sleep and be able to focus :)
You can add a shortcut for background sounds for easier access. Go all the way to the bottom of accessibility > accessibility shortcut > select background sounds > when you triple click the side buttons it works :)

Previously, you had to tap Edit and then tap on an alarm, which made absolutely no sense because tapping on an alarm before tapping Edit had no functionality. And honestly, the only reason I would tap on an alarm would be to edit it.
Apple needs to bring in scheduled text messages like Samsung has. It was useful for sending late night texts at 3am but it gets sent at the time you schedule it
This can be done in the shortcuts app under automation. Just create a personal automation for time of day and it will schedule whatever message you need. Only downside is there is no “only send once” option so you’ll have to delete it after if you’re only sending one day.
It's the same for me. Before I used to download nova, kwgt and all kinds of stuff. Nowadays all I want it a simplistic ui and that's it. So, iPhone's are better at that. Not saying android's are bad, the newer Android 12 looks cool too. But now, I just want something simple.

It would be neat if they added the ability to hide your App Library, at least during a Focus mode. Because even if I hide my fun from my Home Screen I can still pick it out in the App Library
I think it’d be really useful if they add notes or tags to photos so you can filter and find them easier similar to tags they have on the MacBook. Like if you searched flowers it would find all the photos of flowers you have on your phone etc.
I think siri searches for that already in the search bar in iOS photos? Not perfect because an ai is identifying the flowers rather than you tagging them yourself but it’s there?

@@jonferngut oh me too. I’m interested in focus mode to use it as different profiles on different occasions. Example: At the Gym: designated Home Screen with work out widgets etc…
It would be neat if they added the ability to hide your App Library, at least during a Focus mode. Because even if I hide my fun from my Home Screen I can still pick it out in the App Library
I think it’d be really useful if they add notes or tags to photos so you can filter and find them easier similar to tags they have on the MacBook. Like if you searched flowers it would find all the photos of flowers you have on your phone etc.
I think siri searches for that already in the search bar in iOS photos? Not perfect because an ai is identifying the flowers rather than you tagging them yourself but it’s there?
You can do this with Google Photos.

yeah but think of it this way what if your on FaceTime and you think of a cool song you like and you want to show whoever you're on FaceTime with... that is so easy now you can just listen to it with them rather than try and grab another device to listen to it on or something to show someone... it just comes straight out of their device
