    Thank you for this inspiration! I returned from a trip and had hardly any food in the house. From watching you I realized I could search the fridge and freezer and put together a healthy meal. I had an onion, a carrot, frozen green beans, and frozen spinach. Put it in a pan with coconut aminos, rice vinegar, dried ginger, and garlic powder then served it over farro. Healthy and delish, thank you!

    I’ve followed you since the beginning Amy, and am always inspired by your creative cooking. I have been surprised a few times recently though on the caloric value of some of your meals. I’m not a calorie counter but roughly adding up the calories for your apple crumble and custard breakfast it must of come to around 600/700 calories and you seemed to eat it all and suggest you could . That’s a heavy amount of calories to start the day off with if you are trying to watch your weight .keep up the great work of encouraging folks to eat more plant based 🤩

      I know what you're saying, but in fairness, Ami has said in her videos (quite a few times recently) that she's not eating for weight loss anymore. She has advised that the viewer can eat less of whatever she's made. I, personally, wouldn't be able to eat the same amount of the granola apples/custard dish - so I would eat half. Ami does share her food with Romy very often too. At Ami's point in her journey, she will need more calories than many of her viewers out there, as she is far more physically active than many of us. We can just eat less of what she's cooking 👍 😊🌱🌿

    I just wanted to let you know how much I love your videos. I watch a number of weight loss videos and they can become quite serious so I love yours that are so full of joy. They give me a lift and show me that eating healthy can be joyful and fun and you can do it on the fly. I love how you work it in even though you are very busy with your kids. I have purchased one of your ebooks and will buy another soon. Keep up the good work and all the good you are doing helping people figure out this eating healthy thing. The recipes I used the most so far from your channel is the banana/pb2 ice cream and the oil free hummus and I incorporate the preloading of non starchy vegetables and fruits that you recommend before meals.

    Ami, that sushi looks so good. I recently made millet in my IP and it was a complete failure, a clumpy tasteless mess. It wound up in my yard as wild animal food. I should try it again after seeing yours. I’m wondering something silly. Since you are always wearing a tank top, is your house is very warm? My house is always cold in the suburbs of NYC, so I’m always wearing 2 shirts and a vest and sometimes, a hat in my house. We keep our thermostat in 67-ish degrees F. Anyway, I love your channel! Thanks for sharing your days of eating! ❤

    I love your crazy day no groceries in the house videos! I needed this so badly today...a very chaotic day here and no brain power to figure out dinner has me stressing, but I see what to do now! By the way, how do you like your new fridge? I think we just got the same one (frigidaire?) ours came with the LED lights inside not working, replacement came with about 8 dents in it and no 3rd replacement available. Hoping now to just get the lights repaired and that this one will be good from here on out!

    still full of sugar , sugar in the plant milk sugar in the yoghurt sugar and alcohol in the vanilla extract .

    • @brassica35
      @brassica35 10 месяцев назад +2

      It's still lower in sugar and a much better health choice than buying a completely processed vegan custard carton. Ami very often uses the Alpro Organic soya milk, which doesn't have any added sugar in it. So it all balances out. It's a shame to be 'food policey' about this, as this recipe is still much healthier and of absolute benefit to someone who is looking for a healthier option.

    • @layladarby1994
      @layladarby1994 10 месяцев назад

      @@brassica35 actually alpro soya does have sugar in, I do live by shops which has everything ami uses, and they do have sugar.

    • @layladarby1994
      @layladarby1994 10 месяцев назад

      plus ingredients for alpro soya custard which I guess she was referring to, soya beans tapioca starch, sugar carrageenan sea salt added vitamins. more or less the same ingredients as her yogurt so don't see why she was making a fuss about it. everyone can make a custard, as healthy as you want.

    • @brassica35
      @brassica35 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@layladarby1994 Alpro Organic soya milk hasn't got any added sugar. If you're looking at the nutritional content of the soya milk on the side of the carton and the sugar that is from carbs, then that is natural sugar present in the soya beans - but it's not added sugar. Vegetables have natural sugar in. We can't avoid that. I'm specifically talking about Alpro Organic soya milk - it's just water and soya beans, with no added sugar. I didn't say that other regular soya milks don't have sugar in. Alpro have a soya milk that has added sugar in and they also do a (non organic) soya milk that is unsweetened. Maybe not everyone can have access to the healthier option. There's far too much demonising of some vegan products that have a bit of sugar, just because it's not 100% a whole food. Some people don't have the funds to be able to buy organic/unsweetened soya milk. They might feel a bit rubbish about having to buy soya milk that has a bit of added sugar or oil in it. But they're probably trying their best. I'm very fortunate that I can regularly buy the organic versions with no added sugar in, but I wouldn't have a disparaging view of a whole foods vegan that had to, for whatever reason, buy one with sugar in. People eating vegan whole foods are trying their best - and they will make up for that bit of sugar they had, in other areas that they religiously try to cut out sugar/oil etc.

    • @brassica35
      @brassica35 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@layladarby1994 Yes, but Ami's version will have infinitely less sugar because of the bananas, than the Alpro carton of custard - even with her using similar ingredients to it. Why can't we just applaud this, instead of being food snobs?
