A very nice trolley especially with it having the LED lights around the top. It would look good running on any Christmas train layout serving the town area.
I bought a similar one from Legacy Station. I wish they (along with Lionel & Atlas) would come up with a 'delay circuit' that would pause the reversing once it hits the bumper. This would simulate a station/terminal stop to allow passengers to detrain and board for the return trip. It could be about 10-15 seconds, with a selector switch on the chassis bottom. I wrote to MTH, but haven't received any reply yet.
Great idea Michael! It would be a neat product for a smaller company. One that could design a circuit board that could be retrofitted into an existing trolley.
I'm very new to this, but is there a way to have the interior lights brighter but have the speed not so fast? I'm using on a bump n go track and I want the interior lights on, but the trolley goes to fast to the point it will break the bumper. Thanks!
Well, nothing easy. You could change the interior light for a different voltage one or install a constant voltage led. Both require soldering skills and parts from an electronics supplier. There might be constant voltage light kits that RR suppliers sell. Or you could install a diode inline with the motor which is something I want to try. Not sure how much that would slow the motor down. For me, the trolley goes too fast even at the lowest voltage.
The MTH trolleys are usually good at reversing even at low speed. I do have one older Lionel model that uses a mechanical switching device and it does have to hit the bumper relatively hard to properly activate the reversing action. If The MTH trolley that uses the switch shown in the video does not reverse the trolley, I would check to see if the springs under the bumper is ok. Most likely it may be able to be reset by yourself. If not I would take it to a good servicing dealer and have them check it out.

I love it. Also, it's one off my few new in box purchases

I got this one from Mr. Muffin's Trains. It was $10 less than this year's models, but as far as I'm concerned is the best looking. Thanks Jeremy!
That's a ver6 good deal ❤️ Thanks for watching the video.
Great review! Love the gloss finish on this - too much of the dull, flat finishes on trains nowadays. Yes, I think I will buy one!
Thank you for the feedback.
Love it. Illuminated perfectly.
Thanks! It was definitely a MUST ORDER NOW when I first saw it. I think is the first one with Christmas lights any manufacturer has done.
I got one of these as well, it is great.
That's awesome! I'm looking forward to running mine on my yearly temporary layout.
@@TooManyHobbiesJeremy Me too on my holiday layout, but right now I'm running my older trolley while testing.

@@TooManyHobbiesJeremy my mom is a soldering master so maybe we can get something working! I’ll keep you updated lol. Thanks so much!
I might have missed it in the video, but what tracks does it use?
This runs on normal Lionel type O gauge 3 rail track
I’m new to this. My trolley won’t turn around when it hits the bumper. Any tips?
Hi, do you have the same trolley? Usually they require some force on the bumper to get it to change direction.

@@johnchambers8528 thanks. Worked this out pretty quickly after I posted. 6 months until Christmas train reappears.
Do you know if Gargraves 37” long straight phantom regular tracks o gauge would work for the christmas trolley?
Yes, as long as they are 3 rail (which I believe they are) they will work great.
@@TooManyHobbiesJeremy If i have a track that is too long am i able to cut it and it will still work?
Yes it will work, as long as you have a way to attach power wires to the track.
@@TooManyHobbiesJeremy How can i do that? does the trolley require a transformer?
@@irinikollcinaku4855 yes, it requires a toy train transformer to power it
