Watched this video about 4 times and did it all myself just like you did from start to finish, because I am no mechanic at all. But I did it and it's fixed with no leaks and not running hot at all. Thank you so much for your videos!
I just wanna saw thank you for making this video and that you did such a good job explaining all the steps. I just changed out my radiator in my 09 Impala
This is a good tutorial. The one thing that needs to be mentioned is that the front engine mount brackets need to be removed as well. I watched the video 3 times before i noticed these had been removed too. Things went better after that.
This channel and video needs more likes!. If I could thumbs up twice i would! Great tutorial! A small leak had me switch over to those "ratcheting"/screw-in tightening hose clamps and it broke the plastic upper radiator port on my wifes radiator! I turned a leak into the need for a whole new radiator, so pissed at myself, but it happens. Wish me luck!
when reconnecting the battery cables always do the positive post and tighten it before doing the negative. It will prevent accidentally arcing from a tool making contact with a metal surface.
I need help immediately 😂 but i try it and the bottom metal hose didn't click and spill out the fluid the one around 21:00. I don't what to do, I thought it went good, but now I have to take all apart, any suggestions
@min 26:25 there is a plastic around the hose connected to the condenser. That's the only part was skipped and now I'm having a different leaked. It's oil coming from that one part you @26:25 mins. Am I right or wrong?
Just did my daughter's yesterday and the same thing happened, he broke the center bolt fan holder and did not even say he did he just replaced with a new fan. Should have told watchers to look out for it possibly breaking
when removing the line directly below the transmission line, the one with the rubber spacer that happens to be broke on yours, mine is still connected and upon loosening the bolt to it it hisses and smokes and shoots out almost a yellow color liquid
This video is not for a 3.6L impala, but pretty much similar. The airbox will have to come off on a 3.6l to make it much easier to remove the fan and pull out the radiator
Don't worry about it, I just did mine and just go ahead and pop the lines out, your new radiator will have one ones and you just pop them back in. Good luck
I can't tell from the video but usually there is a nut right there that the line runs through. You could also just back that out with a wrench and free the whole line and clip assembly

When exactly did we separate the condenser from the radiator? I feel like this part was skipped.

You pulled it out without the condenser attached? mine wont let lose?

How did he get the ac lines removed from the radiator?

Hilarious
2024 this is still help full thank you
Great video. Did mine today. This helped me a lot. Thank you .
you dont have to remove air box ! or remove both motor mounts just disconnect from the front and push them to the rear of engine
LOL
Pro Tip! The upper motor mounts: Put the e-brake on and put it in neutral and the motor will move easier to get these back on.
when removing the line directly below the transmission line, the one with the rubber spacer that happens to be broke on yours, mine is still connected and upon loosening the bolt to it it hisses and smokes and shoots out almost a yellow color liquid
How long did this take to do thank you
What are those "pliers" used to remove the hose clamps called?
Where is the radiator cap located? I'm not talking About the coolant cap but radiator cap
It doesn't have one🤣
2012 3.6 liter is much tighter and more difficult to remove fan assembly
Taking the radiator out was a pain, but putting it back in was a breeze, a few minor details left out but overall a good video
if i do this myself, the money i saved to pay the pros to do it, i would pay it to myself to do this. It really helps building courage :)
HELP MY RUBBER GROMIT IS STUCK IN THE CAR!!!! Does anyone know how I can get it out?!?!?
Is this for the 5.3L also?
@20:36 "AC condenser "
?

Sorry but you forgot to mention that you need to reclaim the refrigerant before reoving the ac line
So stupid that we are "advance"an cant make a simple in an out radiator
I’m currently stuck at 13:39 because it’s not coming out

I can't tell from the video but usually there is a nut right there that the line runs through. You could also just back that out with a wrench and free the whole line and clip assembly
You have to muscle it out. It will come out.
pull out clips with a pick and wiggle them free easy to do !
Thanks
You forgot to mention you need a long 🍑 preybar to move your engine forward.
I love how he just skips over the fact that he broke the plastic piece off the fan. Next clip, just has the bolt in his hands. lol. Smooth.
You make it harder than it has to be must be those gloves
That can't be called a "grommet". I've been looking all over the internet, and can't find it. It has to be called something else??
bushing
He is taking to many things off that is he doesn't
No wonder this job costs 700 bucks. It was engineered to be expensive.
TRQ
That's not what I got on the impala.. no enigne mount on top
