That was remarkable Colin! What a place to film! So busy at Motherwell and yard, never a dull moment, 37 and 60 heaven, a great study of Transrail operations inc a wonderful shot of 90129 'Frachtverbindungen,' now that was really special as i recently acquired the Bachmann model of it and its the first time ive ever seen any footage if it! A really enjoyable look back to these memorable times, thank you for sharing with us, have a great weekend cheers Nick.
Cheers Nick i'm glad you found the video enjoyable. That's quite remarkable that you have just bought a model of 90129, i look forward to seeing that one on Redshed Lane mate. Once again really appreciate your comments and you too have a great weekend Nick. All the best, Colin.
@@colingarwood9971Always enjoy Colin, your channel is absolutely fantastic, achive and present day, amazing, oh i also have 90128 'Frachtverbinding' excuse the spelling, its probably wrong as was 129.
Excellent footage Colin, brings back memories. I remember cycling up to Motherwell when i was about 13 in the 80s. My mate and i walked into the mess room and asked if we could have a look about the depot. One of ghe guys finished his tea and gave us a tour for a couple of hours.
Thanks for watching Craig and i'm glad you enjoyed the memories. I think the guys at the depots back then were a lot more willing to show you around their workplace, and i think they did it with a certain amount of pride in the job, wouldn't you agree ? Ofcoarse that was all before Health & Safety went mad. Have a great week and keep watching for more from my archive, regards, Colin.
Don't think I've seen shots from ML depot before on RUclips. Absolutely superb though. I bet you wish it was still like this today as you would be there all the time.
Terrible how things have changed Colin.
Couldn't agree more Mike, not just the locos but look at the commodities being moved around by rail back then .Thanks for watching mate, Colin.
