I'd say that any band paul banks is in, would represent the chocolate of the talent, amazing instrumental and calibration all together, as always, and he himself, the gold wrapping. giving that finishing touch, that uncomfortable, oh so comfortable voice of his, that repels and pulls the essence of what he is trying to convey with his always enigmatic clusters of dynamic dreariness and enlightenment....just my impression from his early ep"s until now. he hasn't changed a bit since. i love it!

I don't think everyone gets Paul Banks in all of his greatness. From Julian Plenti, Interpol, w/ RZA, etc. etc. and maybe the first time you see him it's not like "something happend and I'm head over heels" tears for fears kind of love but then something happens and basically once the Paul Banks spell has been cast on you,you can never see him the same and you just see him as ohh the sexiest man alive ish?

always hsd a sense of old placebo when listening to interpol, this sounds like the newer placebo on battle for the sun. theyre completely different bands though they sometimes tend to sound similar.. i doubt Paul banks dislikes placebo
