Very useful tutorial / review…I’m particularly interested in the screen flow software which appears to be a massively useful utility…I’m planning on upgrading from the Polar-vision movie camera to something more contemporary 🤣🤣🙏🙏🏿👏👍🦄🎩
Always great to see what gear and software others are using. My main camera is a GoPro 5 and I also have the same webcam as you. The video editor I use is VideoPad and screen capture I use Nvidia GeForce Experience.I use Soundforge Pro 12 to edit my audio and RX7 Elements for de-noise and hum removal.
Thanks for sharing your gear and techniques Stephen! One question - Would you film in 4K 60fps if you could? Or do you choose 30fps for a reason (whether technical limitations or preference)?
My limiting factor is the highest framerate that I can get ScreenFlow to run at, which is 30fps. I certainly could film at 60fps and mix in 30fps and it probably would work. Where things go bad are if I record some stuff in 30fps and some in 24fps the Adobe tries to interpolate but sometimes gets it wrong and you get lots of glitches. For my videos, the extra high framerate probably won't make much difference as there isn't much movement (unless I start doing my intro videos in a sports car or something!).

Keep an eye out for sales on Screenflow - I got my copy at a discount

I’ve often been tempted by a GoPro but so far I have managed to resist the temptation to buy one!

@@StephenTallamyMusic I see, thanks for the perspective - makes sense to me!
(Now that's an intro I'd like to see 😛)
