No one ever seems to talk about buy nothing groups! It’s one of the best ways to make sure your stuff will actually get more life and use! I’m so glad you mentioned it.
This video inspired me so much! I decluttered my closet and dresser today, ordered a For Days bag, and joined a buy-nothing group. Can’t wait to find new homes for my unused items and recycle my old ones properly :) Thanks for sharing!
Aww that's fantastic! I'm so happy I was able to spread something useful and sustainable. Enjoy the Buy Nothing group! You'll soon become obsessed with it. 🙂
Thanks for sharing I'm gonna have to check four days out. Last thing I recycled was a pair of jeans with other textiles to H&m . You may know this but just want to share that if u live near a H&m you can bring your clothing, bags, all textiles to their store and they recycle it completely free and they give u a coupon for 15 percent off a item to use later . I also found out recently when I recycled jeans at American eagle u get 10 dollars off ur purchase . Hope this adds more inspiration and gives additional options to all who want to recycle their clothing.
YES! I did know about H&M and American Eagle, as well, I just didn't want to make an hour long video. 😅 I think Levi's also recycles jeans? Thanks so much for spreading the message further. 💚
@Lauren R S I hear you lol. There are several places now to recycle clothes which is a good thing. Ur welcome, thank you for sharing about a topic that is important intentional and matters. We just need to keep spreading the information out there so more ppl can find out about it.
@@kim21223thank you both for sharing this information. I had no idea about the recycling programs at these stores. I tend to donate to my local thrift store, where I also buy items.
Hi! Loved the video! I repurposed a plant pot (yes-I killed the plant somehow 😢) as a bathroom vanity shower/bath bomb holder. I, too, cropped a few T-shirts and now I love them again!❤
@@laurenrs I am so excited and thankful! 🥰Thank you so much Lauren! My husband recently lost some weight and has clothes to purge! I’m excited to responsibly help him de clutter his closet!👕🩳
I would love to win the bag! I find it so difficult to discard my clothes in a eco friendly way and this is great! I’m very blessed that my grandmother is a sewing queen so she made a lot of vinted buys fitting for me! I think my grey pantalon is my favorite! 💗
Fray Chek works really well. Also if you get into Cropping a lot or quilting with sewing, a rotary cutter works really well. Not sure how it compares to fabric scissors, as I already had a rotary cutter when I looked up best ways to crop shirts
It’s one thing to crop it so your midriff is showing and another to crop it so the hem hits your pants. Some people don’t like having the overlap and that’s totally understandable.
A huge help to make donations get new life is to wash them. I work at a thrift store and I have gotten clothing with mouse poop, cat litter, and even stained with human waste. Wash your clothes! Wash them please.
Forgot to add that the end date for the For Days bag is May 25th, 2023. 🎉

I know they are great, aren't they?! It's such a simple concept, and great for reusing items. 💚
Our town started a buy nothing group last year, we’re decluttering a lot. So glad to see people can use them
It's the best!
For oil stains you can also try Dawn dish soap directly on the stain!
Ooh good to know!

Amazing video Lauren! Love that you kept the blue jeans and dyed them Black, genius!!
Thanks! I know, it's such an easy fix, it's great! 🙂
If only I was in the U.S 😊 that bag initiative sounds so great!

Isn't it amazing what cutting a few inches off a shirt can do? 😅 I love re-purposing pots! Great idea. 💚

Sewing is definitely a life skill! I also love having a great second-hand clothing item. 💚
when you crop a t shirt you can use fabric glue to hem them
Didn't realize that! That's for sharing, I'll have to look into it. 🙂

@@laurielansue4131 Interesting! I think I have some homework to do because I don't understand those terms. 😆
Always wonder if my dog and cats think I can change my skin colors when I change clothing ha ha
😂That's awesome!
Just found your Channel ❤ love it 🎉
Thank you so much! Welcome. 💕
Please send me that bag
Great video; just don’t understand the need to crop anything-it’s a short phased trend for teenagers.
Thank you! I've been cropping shirts for years, but I agree everything will go out of style eventually.
I love a crop 😂❤
