I bought one of these 3 weeks ago. The temp gauge was a bit rubbish on mine so swapped it out for a new one that can be adjusted. With a DIY heat deflector and a raised grill I smoked a pork shoulder at 235f for 5 hours with no issues and still had half a basket of coals left. Very impressive for £80. I look forward to seeing how it's compared to the lidil version.
@@ajparsons66 I bought a generic adjustable gauge from Amazon, Make sure the probe is long enough as the ceramic is thick as I found out with my first order when it barley poked through and could not tightened. For the DIY heat detector I followed the build your own guide for the Lidl version from this channel.
I bought one from Aldi online special offers, about 3 weeks ago and paid £49.99, listed price was £99.99. Not yet used it, but looking forward to do some cooking on it .
Really annoys me how these things sell out immediately only to appear on eBay minutes later for a vastly inflated price! Greedy profiteers. Bought the Lidl one last year but had to go to another store because my local one had sold the entire stock to 1 person 😡Shouldn’t be allowed! Aldi do seem to re-stock so you can generally get a second chance if you miss out first time round. I managed to bag the full size one this year and I’m Loving it, just need the summer to arrive now! 😃
Excellent presentation

Thanks for your comment Dale. Yes amazing on fuel usage and the Pork sounds great 😃👍🏻
Dale, the temp gauge on mine is also very poor, which replacement did you get? Also, did you source the raised grill or was it DIY?

Thank you so much for this- helped me set it up in no time! Will watch your other vids to get started with using it xx

I do like the smooth finish compared to the Lidl dimple finish, makes it much easier to wipe down and keep clean.
Nearly 1.6k 💪🏽 smashing it
Cheers mate 😊
You definitely need to compare this to the Lidl kamado, not sure if there's any size differences etc
Yep filmed that video too, just need to edit it and release 😃👍🏻
How would you go about curing one of these?
Really great question. A low burn of 2-3 hours at about 250 degrees Celsius would be fine 👍🏻🔥
Does a spatchcocked chicken fit in it?
Yes a small/ medium would. Or large if left whole and low and slow smoke it. 🙂👍
@@1Pizza2Many thanks!

Yep I agree with you, glad you bagged a big AK too 😃👍🏻
Just paid £49.99 from Aldi online. Bargain!
Yep awesome but at that price 🙂👍
