You missed me: I make small planes that go really fast and have crazy good stall speed characteristics while maintaining good energy retention in a turn... I got carried away making jet fighters with BD armoury lol
Fun fact: if you make a micro fighter using a rapier and relatively good aerodynamics you can go upwards of Mach 10. It got to the point where my biggest problem was heating. I love using it to intercept my friends’ high altitude bombers
I'll define myself as an "overloader" because i always work with like MK1 and MK2 pieces but always full them with extra stuff "just in case" like "this is a pretty cool antenna", "here are some space batteries", "a cool backup parachute system", "I'll definitively need rcs" "this unmmaned guidance system goes here to let the crew rest" and so on. xD
I'm one of those "I have no idea how to land so I cover the top of the plane with parachutes and use landing gear struts that stick into the ground to act as a brake when I land on a slope" type of player.
My first thought on seeing your minimalist plane is that it was still more complicated than you needed it to be. For example, you could swap to one of the wing types that carry fuel. They're a lot more efficient than tanks.. So, I think you can all can guess what type of KSP pilot I am, lol.
I like to think myself as a MiG pilot. Everything I make looks like it was made by a Soviet engineer in the 60's. And for some reason most payloads looks like missiles
I couldn't ever master landing, or steering, so my plane just deployed parachutes when I wanted to stop. It never went particularly fast, so it worked just fine.
Ideas for next video: The optimizer 34kg of liquid fuel remaining after a 7 hour mission with 28 gravity assists? Lets revert to vehicle assembly building and do some more tweaking. The financial analyst: with this craft I can do 7 tourist missions to kerbin orbit in one launch with a 120% profit margin, this optimizes ingame cash per real time hour and represents a 6% improvement over my previous design.
I’m the type of pilot to build a genuinely cool looking craft but then add those unnecessary wings at the front and then 20 midair backflips later decide to remove them
Im a this should fly fine and a big plane guy, my planes are so dangerous that anywhere with kerbals on board have to be ejectable and have parachutes, the only one to successfully fly I left landed next to the hangar on display
What about the sadistic guy that gets bored with the actual game and builds death contraptions for fun? I've got this one that's a huge fuel tank with external seats mounted radially. On top, there's a spinning aparatus with rocket engines pointed directly downward at the seats. Simply adjust throttle for cook time. After all the kerbals are cooked, it's got a remote guidance unit that can fly it directly into the VAB for extra fun.

I HAVE BEEN PLAYING THIS GAME FOR NEARLY A DECADE HOW DID I NOT KNOW THAT
Thanks for the tip mate
Thx for the useful tip!
HOW HAVEN'T I KNOWN THAT FOR THE WHOLE TIME PLAYING KSP?!
Tank for the tip.
A minimalist using two fuel tanks, and more than one landing gear? Don’t make me sick
With balance you can just use 1 wing (with fuel in it), 1 intake, 1 engine (with thrust vectoring), and a seat.
Of course, part welding mods exist.
